This page allows you to create an attribute. Tell me more
Select the “Create Attributes” link under the “Attribute Definition” business component.
The “Create Attributes” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Attribute Information” multiline:

Attribute Code |
The code identifying the attribute (Alphanumeric, 10) Mandatory |

This field can be a combination of letters and digits. Ensure that the attribute code is unique to the organizational unit. | |

Attribute Description |
The textual description of the attribute (Alphanumeric, 80) Mandatory |

Attribute Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the attribute. The system lists the options: “Qualitative” and “Quantitative”. By default, this field is set as “Quantitative”. |
Enter the following field if the attribute type of the part is “Quantitative”:

UOM |
The unit of measurement for the part if the attribute type of the part is “Quantitative” (Alphanumeric, 10) |

Ensure that the UOM is already defined in the “Create UOM” activity of the “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component and is in the “Active” status. | |

Click the “Create Attributes” pushbutton to create the attributes.
Note: The system creates the attributes and sets the status of the attributes as “Active”.
If you wish to create an attribute of the “Quantitative” type, use the “Create UOM” activity under “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component.
