Activating or inactivating the cash details

This page allows you activate or inactivate the cash details. Tell me more.

Select the “Activate / Inactivate Cash Details” link at the bottom of the “Select Bank” page.

The “Activate / Inactivate Cash Details” page appears.

Enter the following fields to search for the cash code that you want to activate or inactivate:

Status	Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the cash code that you want to activate or inactivate. You can select from “Active” or “Inactive”.
Effective Date From	The date from which the cash code is active or inactive (Date Format).

Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the cash code details.

The system retrieves the details of the cash code that you want to activate or inactivate.

The system displays the following in the multiline:

Cash Code	The cash code.
Description	The description of the cash code.
Currency	The currency in which the cash code is maintained. .
Finance Book	The code identifying the finance book to which the cash code has been mapped.
Account Balance	The current debit balance available for the cash code.
Status	The status of the cash code. It must be “Active” or “Inactive”.
	Active – indicates a cash code that has been mapped to an account code in the “Account Rule Definition” business component.
	Inactive – indicates a cash code that is not in operation.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the cash code that you want to activate or inactivate.

Note: Atleast one row in the multiline must be selected for activation or inactivation.

Click the “Activate Cash Details” pushbutton to activate the cash code.

The system updates the status of the cash code to “Active”. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and “Last Modified Date” fields.

Click the “Inactive Cash Details” pushbutton to inactivate the cash code.

Note: You can inactivate a cash code that has a zero account balance.

The system displays the following fields:

Created By	The login ID of the user who created the cash code.
Created Date	The date on which the cash code was created.
Last Modified By	The login ID of the user who last modified cash code.
Last Modified Date	The date on which cash code was last modified.

Activating or inactivating the cash details – An overview

This page allows you to activate the cash code. You can activate a cash code that is in the “Inactive” status. You can enter the date from which the cash code would be active again. The system updates the status of the cash code as “Active”. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the cash code details.

This page also allows you to inactivate the cash code. You can inactivate a cash code that is in the “Active”, provided a zero balance is available for the account. The system updates the status of the cash code as “Inactive”. The system also stores the login ID of the user and system date along with the cash code details.
