This page allows you to activate or inactivate the bank Account. Tell me more.

The “Activate / Inactivate Bank” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Status

The status of the bank account. It must be "Fresh", “Active” or “Inactive”.

 

  • Fresh - indicates a new bank account that is created. It also indicates that the new bank account is not yet mapped to the "Account Rule Definition".

 

  • Active – indicates a bank account number that has been mapped to a bank code in the “Account Rule Definition” business component.

 

  • Inactive – indicates a bank account number that is not in use.

Bank Reference

The number identifying the bank reference.

Bank Name

The name of the bank.

The system displays the following:

Address

The complete mail address of the bank.

 

Zoom facility available.

City

The city in which the bank is located.

State

The state in which the bank is located.

Zip

The postal code of the city.

Country

The country in which the bank is located.

Phone No.

The phone number of the bank along with the country code and area code.

Fax

The fax number of the bank.

Telex

The telex number of the bank.

E-Mail

The electronic mail address of the bank.

 

Zoom facility available.

Mailstop

The mailstop number of the bank.

Bank Clearing No.

A number allotted to a bank by the central bank of the country This number is used while carrying out inter bank transactions at the clearing center.

Swift No.

A number, used for transacting with international banks. This number will be necessary for file transfer of payments and receipts.

Bank Type

Indicates whether the bank is the foreign bank.

The system displays the following in the “Bank Account Information” group box:

Bank Account No.

The number identifying the bank account.

Credit Limit

The maximum amount till which the company can use for transactions from a bank account.

Drawable Limit

The amount till which the company can draw funds from the bank.

Currency

The transaction currency of the bank account.

Effective Date From

The date from which the bank account number or bank code is active or inactive (Date Format).

The system displays the following fields in the “Credit Card Information” group box:

Credit Card Account?

Indicates whether the Bank Account is a Credit Card Account or not which could be ‘Yes’ or ‘No’

Recon. Required?

Indicates whether Bank Reconciliation for the given account is required, which could be ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

User Defined 1

The Customer specific values. The system displays only those quick codes from the entity created for the purpose Bank User Defined -1'

User Defined 2

The Customer specific values. The system displays only those quick codes from the entity created for the purpose Bank User Defined -2'

User Defined 3

Customer specific values.

User Defined 4

Customer specific values.

The system displays the following fields in the “Bank Book Details” multiline:

Bank Code

The code identifying the bank.

Description

The description of the bank code.

Finance Book

The code identifying the finance book in which the bank account details have been posted.

Posting Account Code

The code identifying the posting account in which the bank details have been posted.

Bank Account No.

The number identifying the bank account.

Account Balance

The debit balance available in the bank account.

Dr/Cr

Indicates whether the account is a debit or a credit account.

Credit Limit

The maximum amount till which the company can use for transactions from a bank code

Drawable Limit

The amount till which the company can draw funds from the bank code.

Balance in Excess of Credit Limit

The excess balance utilized above the credit limit.

Overdraft Amount

The overdraft amount

Interest Rate for Overdraft Balance

The interest rate charged on the overdraft amount.

Effective Date for Interest Date

The date from which the interest rate is effective.

Interest Rate For Dr Balance

The interest rate for the debit balance.

Status

The status of the bank code. It could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

Note: You can activate a bank code that is in the “Inactive” status.

The system updates the status of the bank code to “Active”. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and the “Last Modified Date” fields.

Note: You can inactivate a bank code that has a zero account balance.

The system updates the status of the bank code “Inactive”. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and the “Last Modified Date” fields.

The system updates the status of the bank account to “Active”. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and the “Last Modified Date” fields.

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the bank account.

Activating or inactivating bank details – An overview

 

 

This page allows you to activate / inactivate a bank code. You can activate a bank code that is in the “Inactive” status. The system updates the status of the bank code as “Active”. You can inactivate a bank code that is in the “Active” status if the bank code has a zero balance. The system updates the status of the bank code as “Inactive”. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the bank details.
