Create Work Center – A summary of the activity

This option allows you to define work centers for carrying out maintenance activities on an aircraft. Work center is the basic unit responsible for carrying out maintenance work on the aircraft or its component. It may represent a pool of skilled personnel, with varied skill sets and facilities, such as lathe shop.
You can enter a unique number for the work center and provide a description for it. The number should be unique for the organizational unit. You can also associate the work center to the login organizational unit, which is termed as "Execution Organizational Unit" in this business component. The system assigns the "Active" status as soon as the work center number is created and sets the created date and time to the server date and time.

Work center description
Work center category
Work center class
Work center type
Whether you can associate the work center to the current organizational unit.
Associate work center to the execution organizational unit
You can associate the work center to the organizational unit in which you have logged in.
Go to “Create Work Center” page and select the appropriate option to associate the work center to the execution organizational unit.
