If the “Update Mode” is “Assignment” and if the Execution Status of any one of the tasks selected in the multiline is "Draft", “Duplicated”, “Routed for Repair”, "Closed" or "Pre Closed" status, the system does not allow you to update work assignments.

The system performs the following:

    1. Considers the Employee Job Rate as defined in the HRMS business component.

    2. Considers the skill rate if Employee Job Rate is “Null”.

    3. Considers the Primary Skill and the Primary Skill Rate of the employee if Job Rate is “Null” and no value is specified as the Skill in the multiline.

Note: The employee cost center is derived from the Department-Cost Center mapping defined for an employee in the “Organization Structure” business component.

When Maintenance Object is selected as "Aircraft Reg. #" and Update Mode is set as "Assignment" or “Work Actuals”:

If the Aircraft Reg. # corresponding to the Exe. Ref. # of selected task / discrepancy, is offline & Usage Mode is set as "Online" in the “Configurator” business component, the system ensures the following:

  1. Source of Exe. Ref. # is set as "Online" (or)

  2. Source of Exe. Ref. # is set as "Offline", status of Exe. Ref. # is "Completed" and ‘Closure of Completed Packages’ option is set as “Online” in the “Configurator” business component.

Note: This button is not visible, if the Display Option is selected as “New Assignments” in the Additional Search Criteria.

The system displays an error message if any concurrent user attempts to modify the work assignment and reporting details.

If the ‘Update Mode’ is “Work Actual” and timesheet booking is updated, on successful authorization of timesheet, the system updates the cost center in the Employee Actuals details, if the Accounting Process Parameter ‘Cost Center basis for Resource Adjustment is set as 'Base CC'’ in the “Set Options” activity of the “Account Group” business component.

Note: The employee cost center is derived from the Department-Cost Center mapping defined for an employee in the “Organization Structure” business component.

Main Base validation:

When Maintenance Object is selected as "Aircraft Reg. #", if the Aircraft Reg.

Update of Assigned / Work Actual details:

Example:

If the Work Hours/Day is set as 9.00 Hrs, Work Start Time is set as 07:00 Hrs and Work End Time set as 16:00 Hrs.

If a Task is assigned to an Employee on 04/02/2008 from 07:00 Hrs and “To Date” is entered as 05/02/2008 till 14:00 Hrs, the system updates the “Assigned Hours” as follows:

Working Hours available on 04/02/2008 = 9 Hrs.

Working Hrs required to complete task on 05/02/2008 = 7 Hrs.

Hence, Assigned Hours = 9 Hrs + 7 Hrs = 16 Hrs.

Update of Timesheet Mode / Timesheet Status:

  1. If the “Confirmation of Timesheet Records” is set as "Not Required" and “Authorization of Timesheet Records” is set as "Not Required", the Timesheet Status is updated as "Authorized".

  2. If the “Confirmation of Timesheet Records” is set as "Not Required" and “Authorization of Timesheet Records” is set as "Required", the Timesheet Status is updated as "Confirmed".

  3. If the “Confirmation of Timesheet Records” is set as "Required" and “Authorization of Timesheet Records” is set as "Not Required", the Timesheet Status is updated as "Fresh".

  4. If the “Confirmation of Timesheet Records” is set as "Required" and “Authorization of Timesheet Records” is set as "Required", the Timesheet Status is updated as "Fresh".

Calculation of Labor Cost:

  1. If the job rate mapped to the employee is identified, the labor cost for timesheet records booked with Attendance Type “Normal” is calculated using the normal rate. Similarly, the labor cost for timesheet records booked with Attendance Type other than “Normal” is calculated using the overtime rate.

  2. If the job rate is not identified, the system calculates the normal and overtime rates as per the rates defined for the Primary Skill # in the “Unit Structure” business component, to calculate the labor cost for normal and overtime hours.

Modification of Task Execution Status

Update of Task Execution Status

Note: If the Change Status of the Task # is selected as 'Deferred' then the system updates the execution status for the Task as "Deferred''.  Also updates the 'Transient Status' as 'Deferred' and 'Job Status' as 'Pending' and copies the Ref.Doc.#  in the 'Aircraft /Component Pending Tray if the "Planning Type" of the Task # is "Planned".

Update of Plan Date and Actual Date

Note: For tasks whose job type is 'On wing' or 'Component Removal' then the system updates the modified plan date in both Aircraft pending tray and Component pending tray.

Update of Record Status of the Associated Discrepancy

  1. the system updates the execution status of the non standard task as ”Completed”, if Signoff Status is "Signed off" or "Not Required".

  2. the system updates the  'Record status of the discrepancy' to 'Closed' in the Discrepancy Processing business component. Also updates the resolution history with the station, sign off information, record status, latest corrective action for that discrepancy # and other information in the 'Discrepancy Processing' business component.

  1. the system updates the execution status of the non standard task as 'Closed' if Signoff Status is "Signed Off" or "Not Required" and there are no pending returns against the discrepancy associated with non standard task.

  2. the system updates the 'Record status of the discrepancy' to 'Closed' in the Discrepancy Processing business component. Also updates the resolution history with the station, sign off information, record status, latest corrective action for that discrepancy # and other information in the 'Discrepancy Processing' business component.

  1. If the Doc.Type of the Execution ref # is 'Log card' and

  2. If the option 'Enforce closure of Logcards type of Package' is set as 'No' for the Doc.Type 'Log card' in the common masters business component and if all of the following condition are satisfied.

  1. the system updates the execution status of the non standard task as 'Cancelled'.

  2. the system updates the  'Record status of the discrepancy' to 'Cancelled' in the Discrepancy Processing business component. Also updates the resolution history with the station, sign off information, record status, latest corrective action for that discrepancy # and other information in the 'Discrepancy Processing' business component.

  1. If the Doc.Type of the Execution ref # is 'Log card' and

Auto Reconcile Update:

When the ‘Execution Status’ of a task / package is changed to “Closed”, if the ‘Issue Cost’ of the component pending for return is zero, and if it is attached to an aircraft / component or available in one of the documents, the system updates the “Reconcile Qty Core’ in the “Record Part Consumption” of the “Aircraft Maintenance Execution” business component, as follows:

Reconcile Qty Core = Current value of Reconcile Qty Core + Pending Return Qty Core.

The above update happens only if the following attributes are defined for the Package Type of the A/C Maint. Exe. Ref # in the “Edit Document Type Attributes” page of the “Common Masters” business component.

Note: If the reconcile update happens, the system performs the following:

  1. Updates the 'Pending Return Qty - Core' column as zero (i.e. the component that was pending for return will no longer be pending for return).

  2. Updates the “Remarks” field in the “Record Parts Consumption” page against the Execution Ref. # -Task # - Part # combination with the text "Auto Reconcile Update on Task Closure".

To proceed carry out the following:
