This page allows you revise part estimates for the task. Tell me more.

The “Revise Part Estimates” page appears.

Line #

Use the drop-down list box to select the line number of the access panel task or task for which the estimated quantity of part must be revised. The system lists all the tasks and the access panel tasks that are displayed in the multiline of the “Revise Estimate” page.

 Click the “Get Details” push button to display tasks and access panel task details in the task details group box

The system displays the following fields:

Task Applicability

The applicability of the task, which could be “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”

Base Aircraft Model #

The base aircraft model identified for the task

Task #

 The number identifying the access panel task or task.

Revision #

 The revision number for the task.

Task Description

The textual description of the task or the access panel task.

The system displays the following fields in the “Part Details” multiline:

Part #

The spare part required for executing the task.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the spare part.

Est. Quantity

The quantity of spare parts required to complete the task.

Revised Estimate

The estimated quantity of part required for completing the access panel task or task is displayed. You can revise the estimated quantity. Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive.

Note: If the “Simple Average” method is chosen for estimation, the system calculates the estimated value as the average quantities consumed for all the individual parts for each occurrence of the access panel task or the task in consideration, from the “Hangar Work Reporting”, “Component Work Reporting” and “Flight Log” business components.

If the “Moving Average” method is chosen, the system calculates the estimated value as the average quantities consumed for all the individual parts for the recent occurrences that are specified in the “No. of Occurrences” field for the access panel task or task in consideration, from the “Hangar Work Reporting”, “Component Work Reporting” and “Flight Log” business components.

While calculating the averages,

a) the system considers the estimated UOM for the existing parts, and

b) for newly added parts, the system converts the estimated UOM to respective Stock UOM, based on the conversion factors defined in the ”Part Administration” business component

The system displays the following field:

Part Description

The description of the spare part.

Revise Estimates - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to revise the estimated quantity of the parts required for executing the access panel task or task. The system displays the parts that are required for carrying out the access panel task or task. The part number, unit of measurement, number of parts required to complete the task and the part description are displayed. The system also displays the estimated quantity of the part required for executing the task, which can be revised, if required.

The system updates the revised estimated quantity of the part specified for the access panel task or task.
