Maintaining master charts
Select the “Maintain Master Charts” activity under the “Structural Damage Report” business component.
The “Maintain Master Chart View” page appears.
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed and to be entered, in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” multiline:
Note: Leave the fields blank if you wish to retrieve all the records
Object Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the object type based on which you wish to retrieve details in the multiline. The system lists the following options: · Aircraft Model # - Select this option if you wish to retrieve records based on the Aircraft Model number. · Aircraft Reg. # - Select this option if you wish to retrieve records based on the Aircraft Reg. number. · Part # / Serial # - Select this option if you wish to retrieve records based on the part or serial. · Component # - Select this option if you wish to retrieve records based on a component. The system displays “Aircraft Model #” in this field. |

In the editable box alongside, enter a number corresponding to the object type selected based on which you wish to retrieve details. The system lists The system retrieves all the records in active status with object type similar to the number entered here. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the chart for which you wish to retrieve details in the multiline. The system lists the following options: · Active - Select this option if you wish to retrieve all the records associated with the given Object Type that are in active status. · Revised - Select this option if you wish to retrieve all the records associated with the given Object Type that are in revised status. · Inactive – Select this option if you wish to retrieve all the records associated with the given Object Type that are in inactive status. Leave this field blank to retrieve records irrespective of the status of the selected Object Type. The system displays “Active” by default in this field. |
The system displays the following field in the “Chart View Details” group box:
Message Center |
Any message relating to the impacted transaction as a result of evaluation of offline area. |
Applicability |
Indicates the applicability of the chart, which could Aircraft/Component/Part or Model level. |
Enter the following details in the “Chart View Details” multiline:
Aircraft Model # |
The number identifying the model against which you wish to record chart details. Mandatory. Ensure that the number entered in this field is a valid aircraft model number in active status. |
Config. Class |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the code identifying the configuration class for the object specified. Ensure that the Config. Class entered is valid for the associated Aircraft Model # - Aircraft Reg. #. By default the system leaves this field blank. |
Chart Title |
A suitable chart title for the chart. For example “Side View”. Mandatory. Ensure that the value entered in this field is a unique Chart Title for the selected Aircraft |
Chart ID |
A unique identification number to identify the chart. Ensure that the number entered in this field is a unique chart ID |
Revision # |
The number identifying the revision of the chart. Mandatory on modification of details |
Folder Path |
The path of the folder containing the mentioned files. Ensure that this field is left blank if the file is in the root folder. |
File Name |
The name of the chart image attached. Help facility enabled. |
The system displays the following field in the “Chart View Details” group box:
File Available? |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the file is available. You can select from the options “Yes” or “No”. |
Enter the following details in the “Chart View Details” multiline:
Chart Group |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the group to which the chart belongs. The system lists all the values that are in active status as defined for the quick code type “Chart Group” in the “Maintain Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. By default the system leaves this field blank. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the chart. The system lists the following options” · Active · Revised · Inactive The system displays “Active” by default in this field. |
Remarks |
Any additional remarks pertaining to the chart. |
The system displays the following field in the “Chart View Details” group box:
Created By |
The name of the login OU who created the record. |
Created Date |
The date on which the record was created. |
Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the details. |
Modified Date |
The date on which the details were last modified. |
Note: Ensure that at least one record is selected in the multiline.
Select the “Check File Availability” link to determine if the selected record is available.
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details.
The system updates the status of the previous record to inactive when a new record is entered for an existing Chart ID.
4 A chart must have been uploaded in the damage report.
