Select the “Maintain Quick Codes” link under the “Reliability Analysis” business component.
The “Maintain Quick Codes” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Quick Code Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of quick codes you want to create or modify. The list displays the following values: R.D Analysis, Reliability Report Group and Support Agreement Type, User Status, Fleet Type, Fleet Category, Part Mapping Group and Component Removal Assessment Data. |
Note: You cannot change the quick code type of a quick code any time after creation.
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the quick code type. The system displays “Active’ and “Inactive”. |
Select the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The details of the existing quick codes under the specified quick code type are displayed in the multiline, which you can modify or update, if required. However, if no quick codes exist under the selected quick code type, the multiline does not display any records.
Enter the following in the “Quick Code Details” multiline.

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the quick code must be the default, if the quick code type is set as mandatory. See Example |
Note: At least one quick code must have its Default attribute set to ”Yes”, if the Mandatory attribute of the Quick Code Type is to be set as “Yes”.
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the quick code. The list displays Active and Inactive. |
Note: The status of the quick code must be “Active”, if the Default field is set to “Yes”.
The system displays the following.
Created by |
The employee code of the person who created the quick code. |
Created Date |
The date on which the quick code was created. |
Last Modified by |
The employee code of the person who most recently modified the quick code. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the quick code was most recently modified. |
Enter the following.
Mandatory |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the quick code type is mandatory. If you set this field to “Yes”, the quick code type field becomes mandatory in the downstream activities. The system defaults the quick code type with the quick code which has the Default attribute set to “Yes”, in the activities in which the field appears. |
Click the “Maintain Quick Codes” pushbutton.

To delete a quick code
Select the quick code record you want to delete, in the multiline.
Select the Delete icon in the Tool bar above the multiline.
A Quick Code Type “Reliability Report Group” is created with the following quick code values and attributes.

Considering the values displayed in the above table,
If the Mandatory attribute of the quick code type is Reliability Rep. Group is set to “Yes”, the system sets the Reliability Rep. Group field for the Reliability Fleet # in the “Search Results” multiline in the Setup Reliability Fleet page to “ C“, whenever a user does not select any value in this field.
If the Mandatory attribute of the Reliability Rep. Group is set to “No”, the system does not default any value in the Reliability Rep. Group in the event of the user not specifying any reliability report group.
