This report facilitates the MTBUR analysis of parts both components and non-components associated to aircraft of a reliability fleet.
This report depicts the variance between the actual MTBUR of parts with the MTBUR estimated by the various support agreement types and the user-defined alert values.
This report provides information on removals, unscheduled removals, MTBUR and NFF pertinent to parts with actual MTBUR less than the MTBUR defined in the “Set MTBUR Limits for Parts” activity.
Report input: You must select the month and year and, the reliability fleet for the report in the Generate Reliability Report page. For further information, see the “Generate Reliability Report” topic.
Report output: This report is an Excel sheet comprising the following worksheets,
For in-depth information, see Computation of MTBUR, Computation of NFF, Computation of Unscheduled Removals and Retrieval of FH.
This worksheet provides the following for parts with actual MTBUR less than the MTBUR specified by the support agreement in the month of the report.
4 MTBUR of parts below support agreement type: The total removals, unscheduled removals, MTBUR and NFF for 1, 3, 6 and 12 months; completed shop visits for 12 months; variance between the actual MTBUR and the support agreement type.
4 Top count of parts with MTBUR below support agreement type MTBUR: The total removals, unscheduled removals, MTBUR and NFF for 1, 3, 6 and 12 months; completed shop visits for 12 months; difference between the actual MTBUR and the support agreement type estimated MTBUR for parts with the least MTBUR variance of support agreement type.

4 Components and parts must be attached to the aircraft in the “Build Component Configuration” activity and Spare Parts List must be available for expendables.
Part removals with removal type as “Scheduled” and “Unscheduled” must be available.
Fleets must be attached to a reliability fleet group using the “Setup Reliability Fleet” activity in the Reliability Analysis business component.
Alert Values, MTBUR values against each of the Support Agreement Types and user defined parts (parts in Watch list) for various parts has to be updated in the “Set MTBUR Limits for Parts” activity in the Reliability Analysis business component.
Computation of Unscheduled removals
The Part NFF Analysis report provides consolidated information on the unscheduled removals that occur in the reported month/months for the entire fleet. However, the unscheduled removals that satisfy the below-explained conditions only are considered for the report.
For components of every aircraft comprising the reliability fleet, the totaling of the unscheduled removals happens as follows,
Components retrieved from the Aircraft Configuration.
Sum of Unscheduled and Basic removals for each component from the Component Replacement with the Reason # that is marked for Reliability Analysis in the “Create Reasons for Removals” activity of the Common Masters component. For non-components of each aircraft in the reliability fleet, the system arrives at the sum of unscheduled removals in the following way,
For non-components of aircraft,
The Removal Basis parameter in the Set Options activity forms the basis for the inclusion of unscheduled removals in the report. If this parameter is set to “Component Replacements”, the system counts the unscheduled removals from Hangar work orders, Component work orders and Technical Logs that satisfy the following conditions,
Sum of Unscheduled removals for each part from the Component Replacement with the Reason # identified for Reliability Analysis in the “Create Reasons for Removals” activity in the Common Masters.
The status must be “Pre-closed” or “Closed” for Hangar and Component work orders; “Confirmed” for Aircraft Maintenance Execution References.
If the Removal Basis parameter is set to “Maintenance Issue”, the number of unscheduled removals will be the sum of the following, from hangar work order and component work order, the (Issue-Return) quantity of each part for a task or work order with the Planning Type attribute set to “Unplanned”.
From Technical Log, the (Issue-Return) quantity of each part for a material request with the Planning Type attribute set to “Unplanned”.
The NFF information pertaining to all components and non-components of each aircraft in the reliability fleet is retrieved from component work orders and Repair orders, for the report.
From Component work orders, the NFF for a part is counted for the report, if
The “Component Condition Changed to” in the “Record Inspection Findings” is “Serviceable”.
The status of the component work order is “Pre-closed” or “Closed”.
From repair orders, the NFF for a part is counted for the report, if
The “‘Confirm Discrepancies Reported” is “No Fault Found”.
The status of the repair order must be “Acknowledge”, “Amended”, “Authorized”, “BER Closed”, “Quoted”, “Released” and “Shipped”.
The NFF must occur in the reported month/months
The system adds the number of NFF from the component work orders as well as repair orders for a part to ascertain the total number of NFF.
The actual MTBUR for a component is calculated in the following way,
Total FH of the part during the month / Total Number of unscheduled removals of the component during the month
The actual MTBUR for a non-component part is calculated in the following way,
Total FH of the part during the month * Quantity of parts per aircraft / Total Number of unscheduled removals of the component during the month
The month-wise sum of the FH for every component with at least one unscheduled removal during the month of the is retrieved from the PV Update. Likewise for the non-components, the FH will be,
4 Total FH of the reliability fleet/ Number of aircraft in the reliability fleet during the month.
