This page allows you to search for the details of the work unit.
You can carry out the search using the work unit applicability, work unit type, work unit number, work unit description, operations type, work center number and organizational unit description. Details such as organizational unit description, work unit, work unit description, revision number, work unit applicability, work unit category and work unit type are displayed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Work Unit #” field in the main page
The “Help On Work Unit” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Work Unit Applicability |
Use the drop-down list box to select the entity for which the work unit to be retrieved, is applicable. The system provides the options “Aircraft”, “Engine” and “Component”. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve details of work units irrespective of their applicability. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model to which the work unit is associated (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the work units with the aircraft model number entered here. |
Work Unit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work unit. The drop-down list options are decided based on the source document for which the work unit is searched:
The system displays “Task” by default. |
Work Unit # |
The number identifying the work unit (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the work units with the number entered here. |
Work Unit Desc |
The description of the work unit to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the work units with descriptions that are similar to the description entered here. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter to which the work unit belongs (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the work units associated with the ATA chapter number entered here. |
Operations Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the operation type of the maintenance activity. The system lists the following options:
The system displays “Repair Station” by default. |
Work Center # |
The number identifying the work center primarily responsible for executing the work unit (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the work units for the work center specified here. |
Part # |
The part number of the component on which the work unit must be executed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the work units for the part number specified here. |
MPD Item # |
The Maintenance Planning Document item number of the work unit (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the work units associated to the MPD item number entered here. |
Display Option |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the display option of the work unit. The system lists the following options:
The system sets this field to “Internal Work Unit Wise” by default. |
Exec. Phase |
Use the drop-down list box to select the execution phase of the task. The system lists the options “Preparatory”, “Regular” and “Post Flight” along with all the active quick codes whose Quick Code type is “Exec. Phase” from the “Maintenance Task” business component.
The system sets this field to “Regular” by default. The system retrieves all the work units applicable for the execution phase selected here. |
Customer # |
The code identifying the customer for whom the work unit details are displayed. (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Customer Task Card # |
The number identifying the customer task card that represents the work unit. (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to search for the work unit details.
Note: Based on the search criteria entered, the system retrieves all the active work units
If the “Work Unit Type” is set as “Aircraft Work Package” or “Comp. Work Package”, the system does not consider the “Operations Type” and the “ATA #” for search.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

The type of the work unit, which could be “Task”, “Std. Procedure”, “Comp. Work Package”, Non-Standard Task”, or “Aircraft Work Package”. |

The number identifying the work unit. |
Revision # |
The work unit revision number that helps in tracing the changes made to the work unit. |

The description of the work unit. |
Operations Type |
The operation type of the maintenance activity. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter number to which the work unit belongs. |
MPD Item # |
The Maintenance Planning Document item number of the work unit |
Work Center # |
The number identifying the work center. |
Org. Unit Name |
The description of the organizational unit in which the work unit is defined. |
Org. Unit # |
The organizational unit in which the work unit is defined. |
Work Unit Applicability |
The applicability for which the work unit details are specified, which could be Aircraft”, “Engine” and “Component”. |
Base Aircraft Model # |
The number identifying the base aircraft model identified for the work unit. |
Customer Task Card # |
The number identifying the customer task card that represents the work unit. |
Description |
The textual description of the customer task card. |
Customer # |
The code identifying the customer for whom the work unit details are displayed. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer. |
