Modifying quick codes
This page enables you to edit quick codes.
Select the “Edit Quick Code” link under the “Physical Inventory & Cycle Count” business component.
The “Edit Quick Code” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for quick codes. Entry in the following fields is optional.
Quick Code Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of quick code that you need to retrieve. The system retrieves all the quick codes of the type specified here. The system sets the field to “Plan Category” by default. You can leave this field blank to retrieve all the quick codes irrespective of their type. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the quick code that you need to retrieve. The system lists the options “Active” and “Inactive”. The system retrieves all the quick codes of the status specified here. You can leave this field blank to retrieve all the quick codes irrespective of their status. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Note: Leave both the fields blank, to retrieve all the quick codes that are defined in the system.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results in the multiline.
The system displays the following field in the “Search Results” multiline:
Quick Code |
The quick code that belongs to the selected quick code type or status. |
Modify the following fields, if required:
Description |
The modified textual description of the quick code (Alphanumeric, 80). Mandatory. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the quick code, to either “Active” or “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive” if you wish to disable this quick code from future reference in other activities. |
The system displays the following:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the quick code. |
Created Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the quick code was created. |
Last modified by |
The name of the user who last modified the quick code. |
Last modified Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the quick code was last modified. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the quick code for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the quick codes selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Quick Codes” pushbutton to update the modified details of the quick code.
Note: The system updates the modifications and stores the login user name and the current server date as the last modified date.
