Selecting cycle count plan for modification
This page allows you to select the cycle count plan that is already defined in the system, for modification. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Cycle Count Plan” link under the “Physical Inventory & Cycle Count” business component.
The “Select Cycle Count Plan” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box:
CC Plan # |
The number that identifies the CC plan you need to modify (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Select the “Edit Cycle Count Plan” link provided alongside, to modify the selected cycle count plan details.
To search for the CC plan
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for the CC plan:
CC Plan # |
The number that identifies the CC plan you need to modify (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the CC plans with numbers similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans, which are in the “Draft” or “Fresh” status. |
Plan Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the CC plan you need to modify. The system lists the options “Draft” and “Fresh”. The system retrieves all the CC plan of the status specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans irrespective of the status. |
Class |
Use the drop-down list box to select the class to which the CC plan belongs. The system lists the classification method defined for the login organization in the “Set Cycle count Options” activity of the current business component. The system retrieves all the CC plans of the class specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans irrespective of the class. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to assign a user-defined status to the cycle count plan. The system lists all the “Active” quick codes defined for the user status in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. The system sets the field blank by default. The system retrieves all the CC plans for the user status specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans irrespective of the user status. |
Part Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the part for which the CC plan was generated. The system displays “Raw Material”, “Tool”, “Kit”, “Expandable”, “Component”, “Consumable” and “Miscellaneous” as options. The system retrieves all the CC plans for the part type specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans irrespective of the part type. |
Part Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the part group for which the CC plan was generated. The system displays all the valid part groups defined in the “Create Part Groups” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. The system retrieves all the CC plans for the part group specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans irrespective of the part group. |
Part Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the part for which the CC plan was generated. The system displays all the “Active” quick codes of type “Part Category” as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. The system retrieves all the CC plans for the part category specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans irrespective of the part category. |
Part # |
The number that identifies the part for which the CC plan was generated (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the CC plans created for part numbers that are similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans irrespective of the part number. |
Warehouse # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the warehouse for which the cycle count plan was generated. If you are working in the Main base, the drop-down list box lists those Active warehouses defined in the Storage Administration component, which are currently not offline and allow “Cycle Count” transactions. Alternatively, if you are working in a Field base, the drop-down list box displays those Active warehouses mapped to the offline area that allow “Cycle Count” transactions. The system retrieves all the CC plans created for the warehouse specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans irrespective of the warehouse. |
WH – Zone # |
The number that identifies the zone for which the CC plan was created (Alphanumeric, 10). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the CC plans in which the zone numbers are similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans irrespective of the zone number. |
Planned By |
The name of the user who planned the cycle counting activity (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the CC plans in which the planner name is similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the CC plans irrespective of the planner name. |
Note: Leave all the search fields blank, to retrieve all the CC plans in the “Draft” or “Fresh” status.
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to search for the CC plan.

The warehouse for which the CC plan was generated. |

The textual description of the warehouse. |
WH –Zone # |
The zone in the warehouse for which the CC plan was created. |
Zone Description |
The textual description of the zone. |
Planned By |
The name of the user who created the CC plan. |
User Status |
The user-defined status assigned to the CC plan. |
To cancel the cycle count plan
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select a CC plan for cancellation.
Click the “Cancel Cycle Count Plan” pushbutton, to cancel the selected CC plan.
The system cancels the CC plan and sets the status as “Cancelled”. Once canceled, the plan will not be available for any further transaction. The parts associated with the canceled plan will be available for association with other CC plans.
To modify CC plan details
Click the hyperlinked CC plan number, to modify the CC plan.
You can cancel a CC plan, which is in the “Draft” or “Fresh” status.
Set the search criteria.
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to search for the CC plan.
Select the CC plan that you need to cancel.
Click the “Cancel Cycle Count Plan” pushbutton, to cancel the selected CC plan.
Selecting cycle count plan for modification – An overview
This page allows you to select the cycle count plan for modification, which is already created. You can directly enter the CC plan number if you know it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the cycle count plan number, class, status and the planner of the CC plan. You can also search based on the part details such as the part number, part type, part group, part category, warehouse and zone for which the CC plan was generated. The system retrieves all the cycle count plans based on the search criteria.
This page also allows you to cancel the selected CC plans. You can cancel CC plans, which are in the “Draft” or “Fresh” status.
Note: You cannot cancel a CC plan, for which a cycle count sheet has been generated.
