Update component condition – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to update the condition of the components since their last removal from the parent (aircraft or component).

For example, you can change the condition of component from Phased out to Serviceable thereby induct a component phased out of operations into stock.

You can search and find a component (s) you wish to update by providing specific filter criteria. Thereafter, you can provide the following details,

• The new condition of the component

• The date and time from which the new component condition is effective

• Any remarks on the revision of the component condition

However, you can update the condition of the component only if it is not currently attached to a higher assembly or an aircraft.

This activity also enables you to specify default details for a series of components in the multiline. Bulk updation is also facilitated.

The system maintains the history of component condition updates  carried out using this activity. You can look for  this information in the “View Component Condition History” page of “View Component Record” activity.
