Generating serviceable certificate
Using this page, you can generate serviceable certificate for a part that is removed from an aircraft. You can generate the serviceable certificate for a part which is removed from an aircraft in serviceable condition or which is moved to Ship-on-Shelf (SOS) disposition and confirmed as ‘No Fault Found’. The certificate is generated for these parts before they are required to be moved to a serviceable stock / stores.
Select the “Generate Serviceable Certificate” activity under the “Aircraft” business component.
The “Generate Serviceable Certificate” page appears.
Certificate Generation Option
Select one of the following radio buttons in the “Certificate Generation Option”:
Create |
Select this radio button, to create the serviceable certificate. |
Reprint |
Select this radio button to reprint the existing serviceable certificate for the selected Form Tracking #. |
Search Criteria
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Note: You must enter any one of the search criteria, if this page is invoked from the “Aircraft” business component.
Component Replacement # |
The component replacement transaction through which removal has happened. You can enter the component replacement number in full or specify it partially using the character the “*” character. The system retrieves the following:

Certificate Attributes |
Use the drop-down list box and select one of the following certificate attributes:
You must enter a value in the editable field, if a value is selected in the drop-down list. By default, the system displays “Form Tracking #”. This field appears only if the ‘Certificate Generation Options’ is set as “Reprint”.

Warehouse |
The warehouse in which the part is available. The system lists all the Serviceable Warehouses mapped to the user as defined in the “Storage Administration” business component. On selecting a warehouse, the system retrieves the following:

Part # |
The code identifying the part for which you wish to generate the certificate. You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the character the “*” character. The system retrieves the following:
The system retrieves only the last available record matching the Part # - Serial # / Lot # combination. For example, if multiple Component Replacement # available for the Part # - Serial # combination, only the last CR record will be retrieved. |
Serial # / Lot # |
The serial number or lot number of the part. You must enter either serial number or lot number. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the character the “*” character. The system retrieves the following:

Component # |
The code identifying the component. You can enter the component number in full or specify it partially using the character the “*” character. The system retrieves the following:
The system retrieves only the last available record matching the Component #. For example, if multiple Component Replacement # available for the Component #, only the last CR record for the respective Component # will be retrieved. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
Note: The system retrieves only those records whose Component Condition is "Serviceable” / “Overhauled” / “New" and whose CR status is “Removed” or “Replaced”.

The revision number of the reference document. |

The date of the reference document. |

Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box and select the work center. The system lists all the work centers mapped to the login user, as defined in the “Work Center” business component. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |

The serviceable warehouse defined the “Storage Administration” business component. |
Work Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the work performed on the component. Mandatory. The system lists all the ‘Active’ Repair Process Codes defined in the “Logistics Common Master” business component. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Certifying Remarks |
Any comments related to the certificate. Mandatory. |
Certificate Type |
Use the drop-down list box and select the Certificate Type. Mandatory. The system lists all the Certificate Types defined in the “Logistics Common Master” business component. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Certifying Authority |
Use the drop-down list box and select the Certifying Authority. Mandatory. The system lists all the Certifying Authorities defined in the “Logistics Common Master” business component. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Employee # |
The code identifying the employee which issues the certificate. Mandatory. The employee entered here must be valid as defined in the “Employee Personal Information” business component. Help facility available. |
Skill # |
The skill code defined for the employee. Mandatory. |
License # |
The unique license number of the employee. Mandatory. |
Authorization # |
A number identifying the authorization of the employee. |
Authorization Ref. # |
A number identifying the reference authorization. |
Issue Date |
The date of issue of the certificate. Mandatory. The date entered must be earlier than or equal to the current date. |
To create the certificate
Click the “Create” pushbutton to generate the serviceable certificate.
The system allows you to generate the certificate, only if the Numbering Type is mapped to the “Generate Serviceable Certificate” transaction in the “Numberting Type” business component.
The system does not allow you to generate the certificate, if for the selected component a shop work order exists in open status (i.e. in “Draft”, “Fresh”, “Planned” or “In-Progress” status).
On clicking the “Create” pushbutton, the system ensures that the Part # and the ‘Employee # - Skill # and License #’ combination are also available in the “Record Employee License Information” page of the “Employee Personal Information business component. If this is true, the system allows the employee to print the certificate only if the following conditions are satisfied:
For the Employee # entered, License # must be in ‘Active’ status, and 'Valid Till’ date and ‘Revoke / Suspension Date’ must be greater than or equal to server date as defined in the “Record Employee License Information” page.
Base Part # / Part Group # in the “Record Employee License Information” page must match with the Part # in the multiline or Base Part # of the Part # defined in the “Part Administration” business component.
To reprint the certificate
Click the “Reprint” pushbutton to reprint the serviceable certificate.
