Using Online Help

This page allows you to retrieve the details of the manufacturer that are already defined. You can carry out a search based on the manufacturer number, manufacturer name, CAGE number, NSCM number, SITA / ARINC code, SPEC 2000 code, address or relationship type. The system displays the manufacturers that match the filter criteria in the multiline.

The “Help on Manufacturer” page appears.

Display Options

Use the drop-down list box to select the option by which the manufacturer details will be displayed. The system lists the options "Location Specific" and "Location Independent".

Manufacturer #

The number that identifies the manufacturer whose details you need to modify (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the manufacturer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

Manufacturer Name

Enter the name of the aircraft manufacturer in full or specify it partially using the “*” character (Alphanumeric, 150).

CAGE #

The “Commercial and Government Entity” code (CAGE) assigned to the manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 5). You can enter the CAGE number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the manufacturers, whose CAGE numbers are similar to the number entered here.

NSCM #

The “NATO Supply code for Manufacturer” number (NSCM) assigned to the manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 5). You can enter the NSCM number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the manufacturers, whose NSCM numbers are similar to the number entered here.

SITA / ARINC

The code that identifies the manufacturer when using the SITA / ARINC form of communication (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the SITA / ARINC code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the manufacturer that match the SITA / ARINC code entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the manufacturers irrespective of the SITA / ARINC code.

SPEC 2000 Code

The code identifying the international standard for data interchange, which enables airlines and its trading partners to fully automate the buying and selling process. (Alphanumeric, 5). Alphanumeric, 5). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the manufacturers that match the SPEC 2000 code entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the manufacturers irrespective of the SPEC 2000 code.

Address

The complete address of the regulatory authority (Alphanumeric, 2000). You can enter the address in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the manufacturers that match the address entered here.

Relationship Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of relationship. The system displays the following options:

  • Manufacturer – Select this option to retrieve the manufacturer defined in the “Aircraft” business component. Select this option to indicate that the manufacturer is only a manufacturer and not a supplier.

  • Manufacturer and Supplier – Select this option to retrieve the manufacturer details defined in the “Supplier” and “Aircraft” business component. Select this option to indicate that the manufacturer is both manufacturer and supplier.

The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Manufacturer #

The manufacturer number defined in the system.

Manufacturer Name

The name of the manufacturer or the description of the manufacturer code.

CAGE #

The “Commercial and Government Entity” code (CAGE) assigned to the manufacturer

NSCM #

The “NATO Supply code for Manufacturer” number (NSCM) assigned to the manufacturer

SITA / ARINC

The code that identifies the supplier when using the SITA / ARINC form of communication.

SPEC 2000 Code

The code identifying the international standard for data interchange, which enables airlines and its trading partners to fully automate the buying and selling process.

Address

The complete address of the regulatory authority.

Relationship Type

The type of the relationship. The system displays one of the following:

  • Manufacturer – Indicates the manufacturer defined in the “Aircraft” business component. This option is displayed if the manufacturer is only a manufacturer and not a supplier.

  • Manufacturer and Supplier – Indicates the manufacturer details defined in the “Supplier” or “Aircraft” business component. This option is displayed if the manufacturer is both manufacturer and supplier.
