The “Identify Non-Component Maintenance Objects” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Object Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of non-component maintenance object.  The Object types are categorized based on the maintenance object to raise component work order for that maintenance object. The system lists the following options:

  • Facility – Select this option if the maintenance work is to be defined for equipments or tools that are used in maintenance of components.

  • Make – Select this option if the maintenance work is to be defined for components that are being manufactured at the work center.

  • Piece Part – Select this option if the work order is being created for non-components.

  • Project – Select this option to create if the work order is for projects.

  • Receipt-Inspection – Select this option if the work order is being created for preliminary inspection of incoming components.

  • Miscellaneous - Select this option if the maintenance work is to be defined for object types other than the earlier specified options.

The system displays “Facility” by default.

Component ID

The identification number of the component for which maintenance is required (Alphanumeric, 16). Ensure that this is a valid component ID in the “Active” status, as defined in the “Create Component Record” activity of the “Aircraft” business component.

The type of the component must have been set as "Others" and the condition of the component should not be set as "Phased Out".

 

Help facility available.

The system displays the following fields:

Part  #

The part number of the component for which maintenance is required.

Serial #

The serial number of the component for which maintenance is required.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Non Std Tasks-Sign-Off Reqd.?

Use the drop-down list box and select “Yes” if sign-off is required for non-standard tasks. Else select “No”. The system sets this field to “No” by default.

CWO Authorization Reqd.?

Use the drop-down list box and select “Yes” if authorization is required for component work orders. Else select “No”. The system sets this field to “No” by default.

Non Std Tasks-Sign-Off Reqd.?

Use the drop-down list box and select “Yes” if sign-off is required for non-standard tasks. Else, select “No”. The system sets this field to “No” by default.

CWO Authorization Reqd.?

Use the drop-down list box and select “Yes” if authorization is required for component work orders. Else, select “No”. The system sets this field to “No” by default.

Note: Ensure that at least one record is available in the multiline.

Note: You cannot delete a component ID that is set as the "Default Component ID for Piece Part" in the “Set Options” activity of "Component Maintenance Planning" business component.

Note: A component can be mapped to only one object type.

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Last Modified By

The name of the user who modified the component details.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the component details were last modified.
