Set User Role OU Mapping – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to map any predefined user to predefined role-OU combination. The combination of user and role-OU mapping decides the components and activities accessible during login. You are also providing to unmap the mappings between user, role and OU.
Select the “Set User To Role OU Mapping” link under the “Administration Process” business component.
The “Set User Role OU Mapping” page appears.
- Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.
Enter the following details in the header:

User Name |
The unique name identifying the user to whom the combination of role and OU has to be mapped. Mandatory |
The system displays the following in the header.

Full Name |
The full name of the user. |
Enter the following details in the header:
|
Detailed Fetch |
Select the check box to fetch the detailed details of the selected user. |
Note:
1. If the detailed fetch is selected the system fetches all the user and OU combinations irrespective of user mapping.
2. If the detailed fetch is not selected the system fetches only one row for a specific user mapped to the valid OU’s.
Click the “Fetch User Role Mapping” pushbutton to fetch the user details mapped to the respective role.
The system fetched all the details and displays the details in the multiline.

The detailed description of the role. |
Enter the following details in the multiline:

OU Name |
The unique name identifying the organization unit (OU) under which the role of the user is defined. |
The system displays the following in the multiline.

The detailed description of the organization unit. |

All OU’s |
Select the check box to indicate that all the organization units mapped under the particular role have to be mapped to the specified user. |
To save the user details mapped to the respective role
Click the “Save User Role Mapping” pushbutton to save the user details mapped to the respective role.
The system saves the details of mapping the predefined user to the predefined role and OU instances and also saves the combination of component and activity assigned to the particular user.
