Precision Definition – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to update the precision type information for a particular deployment setup.
Select the “Precision Definition” link under the “Administration Process” business component.
The “Precision Definition” page appears.
- Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.
Enter the following details in the header:

Precision Type |
The name of precision used in the deployment setup. Mandatory |
|
Decimal Length |
Indicates the total length to be used after the decimal point of the precision type. Mandatory |
Note:
1. If you change the decimal length of a particular precision type, the system modifies the decimal length for all the controls across the application
2. It is not possible to increase the value of the precision beyond its original default value.
To fetch the precision details
Click the “Fetch Precision Details” button to retrieve the details for a particular deployment setup.
To save the precision details
Click the “Save Precision Details” push button to the precision details for a particular deployment setup.
