Using online help

This activity allows you to create and maintain Business Process Chain Information. You can capture the various details of the Business Process Chain by entering parent node id and child node details for the parent node. If Parent Node ID is blank, then all the nodes under it should be of type ROOT.

The “Business Process Chain Definition” page appears.

       - Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.

Parent Node Id

A unique id identifying the parent node of the business process.

The system displays the following in the header.

Parent Node Name

The name of the parent node.

Parent Node Description

The detailed description of the parent node.

Parent Node Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the parent node type. The combo is loaded with the options “Root” and “Intermediate”. The system displays “Root” by default value on launch of the page.

Node name

The name of the child node or component name if the “Node Type” is selected as “Leaf”. Mandatory.

Node Description

The detailed description of the child node.

Note: The Node Description is mandatory when the “Node Type” is selected as “Root” and non-mandatory when “Node Type” as “Leaf”.

Node Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the child node type. Mandatory. The combo is loaded with “Root” and “Leaf”. The system displays “Root” by default value on launch of the page.

The system displays the following in the multiline.

Parent Node Id

A unique id identifying the parent node.

Component Sequence

The number identifying the component sequence of both the business process as well as the component.

To fetch the BPC details

The system fetches all the business process details and displays in the multiline.

To save the BPC details

The system creates the node id and saves the details of the node with respect to the parent node id.

The system displays the following in the multiline.

Node Id

A unique code identifying the node. Auto generated.
