Basics of using a Ramco Enterprise Series web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to view the sale account definition details. You can retrieve the details by carrying out the search using the part account group, the part code, code identifying the finance book and the account, sale order type along with sale type, purpose and channel, receipt type and the reason code. The system retrieves the sales account definition details based on the search criteria.

The “View Sale Account Definition” page appears.

Part Account Group

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the part account group based on which the sale account is defined. All the part account groups mapped to the login organization unit, for which accounts have already been defined will be available for selection The system leaves this field blank by default on launch of the page.

The system displays the following:

Description

The description pertaining to the part account group.

Part #

The code identifying the part (Alphanumeric, 32). The value entered here must have been defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

Finance Book

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book. All the finance books mapped to the login organization unit are available for selection in the ascending order. The system displays the first finance book in the list by default on launch of the page.

Account #

The code identifying the sale account to be deleted (Alphanumeric, 32).

Sale Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of sale based on which the transactions are posted to the sale account. All the sale types for which sale accounts have already been defined will be available for selection. The system leaves the field blank by default on launch of the page.

Delivery Area #

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the location at which the goods are delivered. All the delivery area codes that have been defined in the “Delivery Area” business component, for which accounts have already been defined will be available for selection will be available for selection. The system leaves the field blank by default on launch of the page.

Customer Group #

The code identifying the customer group based on which sale account is defined (Alphanumeric, 6). The customer account group must have been defined in the “Create Customer Group” activity of the “Customer Group” business component.

Sale Purpose

Use the drop-down list box to select the sale purpose based on which the sale account is being defined. All the sale purposes in “Active” status that have been defined for the login organization unit in the “Category” business component, for which accounts have already been defined will be available for selection will be available for selection. The system leaves the field blank by default on launch of the page.

Receipt Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type in which the payment can be received. All the receipt types for which sale accounts have already been defined will be available for selection, which could be "Cash" or "Credit". The system leaves the field blank by default at the launch of the page.

Reason #

The code identifying the reason behind creating a sale account (Alphanumeric, 5). The value entered here must have been defined in the “Category” business component, for which accounts have already been defined will be available for selection. The system leaves the field blank by default on launch of the page.

The system displays the following in the “Account Definition Details” multiline:

Event

The event or the business function group.

Sale Type

The type of the sale.

Delivery Area

The code identifying the delivery area.

Customer Group #

The code identifying the customer group.

Sale Purpose

The purpose of sale.

Receipt Type

The type in which the payment can be received.

Reason #

The code identifying the reason for creating the sale account.

Sales Account

The code identifying the account.

Sales Return Account

The code identifying the sales return account.

COGS Account

The code identifying the cost of goods sold account.

Effective From Date

The date from which the sale account is effective.
