Viewing insurance policy details

This page allows you to view the details of the policy. The details like the code identifying the policy, the code identifying the renewal details, the description of the policy and the status of the policy can be viewed. You can also view details of the policy like the type of the policy, the amount of the policy and the premium, the period during which the asset is covered by the policy along with details like the premium paid till date. You can also view the details of the assets that are covered by the policy.

Select the “View Insurance Policy” link provided in the “Select Insurance Policy” page.

The “View Insurance Policy” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Policy No	The code identifying the insurance policy.
Renewal No	The code identifying the renewal.
Status	The status of the policy. It could be "Draft", "Fresh", “Active", "Renewed" or “Closed".
	Draft – indicates a newly created insurance policy for which premium payment details have not been incorporated.
	Fresh – indicates a newly created insurance policy for which the premium payment details are available. A policy in this status can be authorized.
	Active – indicates an insurance policy that has been authorized.
	Renewed – indicates an insurance policy that has been renewed after expiry.
	Closed – indicates an insurance policy that has been terminated.
Policy Desc.	A textual description of the policy.
Insurance Company	The name of the insurance company that has issued the policy.
Policy Type	The type of the policy.
Policy Amount	The amount covered by the policy.
Premium Amount	The premium amount to be paid for the policy.
Blanket Payment	Indicates whether a blanket payment has been made for the policy.
Effective Period From	The start date of the period during which the asset is covered by the policy.
To	The end date of the period during which the asset is covered by the policy.
Premium Paid	The premium amount paid till date for the policy.
Risk Coverage %	The percentage of risk covered by the policy.

The system displays the following in the “Asset Information” multiline:

Asset No	The code identifying the asset that has been covered by this policy.
Asset Desc.	A textual description of the asset.
Tag No	The code identifying the asset tag covered by this policy.
Tag Desc.	A textual description of the asset tag.
Premium Amount	The premium amount apportioned for the asset.
Insurable Value	The insurable value of the asset.
Soft Valuation Rule No	The number identifying the soft revaluation rule that been run in the “Asset Revaluation” business component.
Finance Book	The finance book in which postings are done.
Asset Class Code	The code identifying the class to which the asset belongs.
Asset Location Code	The code identifying the location in which the asset is present.
Asset Group Code	The code identifying the group to which the asset belongs.

The system displays the following:

Created By	The login ID of the user who has created the policy.
Created Date	The date on which the policy has been created.
Last Modified By	The login ID of the user who has last modified the policy details.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the policy was last modified.

To proceed, carry out the following

Select the “Payment Information” link at the bottom of the page to view the payment information details of the policy.
Select the “Insurance Company Information” link at the bottom of the page to view the details of the insurance company.
Select the “Attach Notes” link at the bottom of the page to view any additional notes made regarding the policy.
