In this activity, you can define the engineering drawings required to manufacture a part. Engineering drawings can be defined for the product structure and part . The engineering drawings can be saved in library if interaction exists with the “Library Operations” business component.

·         Engineering drawing for product structure will list all the drawings defined for the product structure part.

·         Engineering drawing defined for the constituent part # in the product structure, will be part drawings.

·         Engineering drawings for tasks participating in the process plan depicts how to perform a task / operation. Engineering drawing for task can defined by selecting a task in the “Manage Process Plan” screen

Entity

The entity for which engineering drawing is defined, which could be “Product Structure”, or “Part”.

Part #

The product structure part or the constituent part for which engineering drawing is defined.

PS Class

The product structure class.

PS Revision

The revision number of the product structure.

Managed at

Use the drop-down list and select “Library” if the engineering drawing is saved at the library. Else select “Direct”.

The system lists the value “Library” only when there exists a Component Interaction Model (CIM) interaction with the "Library" business component.

Document #

The number identifying the document having an engineering drawing, whose details are maintained? Mandatory.

Document Title

The name of the document.

Revision #

The revision number of the document.

Document Subject

A brief description about the document.

Document Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the document that is to be registered. The system lists all the active document types with “Maintained In Library?” field set as “Yes”, as defined in the “Create Reference Document Type” activity of the “Common Masters” business component.

Status

The status of the document which could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

Document Category

Use the drop-down list box to specify the category to which the document belongs. The system lists all the active quick codes of type “Document Category”, as defined in the “Maintain Quick Codes” activity of the “Library” business component.

Effective From

The date from which the document is effective.

Effective To

The date until the document is effective.

File Name

The name of the file attached to the document.

Help facility available.

No. Sheets

The number of copies of the document.

Remarks

Any remarks related to the document

Publisher

The code identifying the publisher of the document.

Published Date

The date on which the document is published.

Revised Date

The date on which the document is revised.

Document Ref. #

The reference number of the document.

Web Ref. #

The web reference pertaining to the document.

Received From

The name of the source from where the document is received.

Received Date & Time

The date and time at which the document is received.

Drawing Location

The location in which the document is maintained.

The system displays the following:

Created by

The name of the user who created the document.

Created Date

The date on which the document is created.

Last Modified by

The name of the user who last modified the document.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the document was last modified.
