Process Discrepancies – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to process discrepancies and create a corrective work order. Maintenance execution can lead to detection of more abnormalities or defects, commonly referred as discrepancies, which are not previously detected. These discrepancies are processed into corrective work order for rectification. Efficient controlling of discrepancies is important in preventing maintenance plan overruns.

In case of resource or other constraints, you can defer the discrepancies for later maintenance execution. This activity also allows you to defer discrepancies.

Process discrepancies into a corrective work order

Maintenance execution can lead to detection of more discrepancies. You can create a corrective work order to rectify the discrepancies observed during the scheduled maintenance activity. You can search and select the discrepancies that you need to process.

• In the “Select Visit Package” page, specify the search criteria and select the visit package for which you wish to process the discrepancies.

• Select the discrepancies that you need to process, in the “Process Discrepancies” page.

• Use the “Create Work Order” page, to create a corrective work order for the selected discrepancies.
