Selecting visit package for processing discrepancies
This page allows you to select a visit package for processing discrepancies. Tell me more.
Select the “Process Discrepancies” link under the “Hangar Work Order” business component.
The “Select Visit Package” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box. Entry in the following fields is optional:
Adv. Search ID |
Use the drop-down list box to select the advanced search ID. The system retrieves the visit packages based on the filter criteria specified for the search ID. Leave this field blank if you wish to enter the search criteria fields. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Click the “Edit” link alongside, to modify the advanced search criteria.
Visit Package # |
The number identifying the visit package for which the discrepancies must be processed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages that are similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages, which are in the “Released” or “Partially Released” status. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the visit packages, which are associated with the aircraft specified here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the aircraft to which they are attached. |
Primary Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the place of maintenance execution to which the visit package is associated. The system lists all the “Active” work centers that are associated with the login organization unit. |
The system retrieves all the visit packages that are associated with the primary work center specified here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the primary work centers to which the visit packages are associated. | |
Visit Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the visit package. The system lists all the “Active” visit categories, which are defined in the “Create Visit Category” activity of the “Central Planning” business component. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the category. |
Grounding: Date From |
The starting date, in a range of grounding dates of the aircraft, from which you need to retrieve the visit packages (Date format). The system retrieves all the visit packages for which the grounding date is greater than or equal to the date entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the starting grounding date. |
Grounding: Date To |
The ending date, in a range of grounding dates of the aircraft, till which you need to retrieve the visit packages (Date format). The system retrieves all the visit packages for which the grounding date is lesser than or equal to the date entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the ending grounding date. |
Note: If both the date fields are entered, the ending grounding date should be greater than the starting grounding date.
Note: Leave all the fields blank, to retrieve all the visit packages in the “Released” or “Partially Released” status,for which the aircraft is not in “Frozen” record status.
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to search for the visit packages.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

The visit package retrieved by the system. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft on which the visit package is created. |
Primary Work Center |
The work center where the maintenance activity, listed in the visit package, is executed. |
Status |
The status of the visit package, which could be “Released” or “Partially Released”. |
Visit Category |
The category to which the visit package belongs. |
Grounding Date |
The grounding date of the aircraft, for executing the visit package. |
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer, who owns the aircraft. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer owning the aircraft. |
Note: The "Customer #" and "Customer Name" fields are applicable only when the aircraft is not self-owned and the customer details are recorded in the system.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the visit package for processing the discrepancies.
Note: Ensure that atleast one record is selected in the multiline.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Process Discrepancies” link at the bottom of the page to process the discrepancies in the selected visit package.
Select the “Set Adv.Search ID” link at the bottom of the page to set advanced search criteria.
Selecting visit package for processing discrepancies – An overview
This page allows you to select a visit package for processing discrepancies. You can search and select the visit packages, which are in the “Released” or “Partially Released” status. You can specify the aircraft registration number, visit package number, a range of grounding dates of the aircraft, execution unit, category of the visit package and the primary work center, as search criteria. The system retrieves the visit packages, which are in the “Released” or “Partially Released” status.
