Modifying part requirement details of a work order
This activity allows you to modify the quantity of parts that is required for a work order task.
Select the “Edit WO-Part Requirements” link at the bottom of the “Create Maintenance Material Request” or “Edit Maintenance Material Request” page.
The “Edit WO Part Requirements” page appears.
The system displays the following field in the “Material Request Details“ group box:
Material Request # |
The material request selected in the “Create Maintenance Material Request” or “Edit Maintenance Material Request” page. |
Enter the following field:
Part # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the part for which you need to modify the required quantity. The system lists all the parts that are requested in the selected material request. If you set the “Get Problem Qty. Parts” field to “Yes”, the system lists only those parts whose required quantity is more than the available quantity. |
The system displays the following field:
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. Zoom facility available. |
Work Order # |
The work order for which the material request is raised. |
Enter the following field:
Stock Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the stock status of the part. The system lists the stock statuses associated to the part selected in the “Part #” field. |
Get Problem Qty. Parts |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate the parts to be listed in the “Part #” field. |

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the work orders and tasks for the selected material request and part.
The system displays the following in the “Part Work Order Details” multiline:
Work Order # |
The number identifying the work order for which the part is required. |
WO Priority |
The priority of the work order, which could be either “Normal” or “AOG”. |
Task # |
The number identifying the task in the work order for which the part is required. |
Task Priority |
The priority of the task. |
Sch. Start Date |
The scheduled start date of the task. |
Est. Qty. |
The estimated quantity to complete the work order task. |
Enter the following field:
Qty. Required |
The total quantity of the part required to complete the task (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure this is a positive value. If the part type is “Kit” or “Component”, ensure the number is not in fractions. |
The system displays the following fields:
Available Qty |
The available quantity of the parts. |
Issue Qty. |
The quantity of parts issued. |
Pending Issue Qty |
The remaining quantity of parts that needs to be issued. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task. |
Work Order Description |
The textual description of the work order. |
Click the “Edit Part Requirements “pushbutton to update the details.
The system updates the part quantity in the “Stock Maintenance” business component.

Modify part requirement details of a work order
You can modify the quantity of parts required to execute a work order or work order task.
Set the “Get Problem Qty. Parts” field to “Yes”, to retrieve only those parts, whose required quantity is more than the available quantity, in the “Part #” field. Select “No”, if you wish to list all the parts mentioned in the selected material request.
Select the part for which quantity must be modified, in the “Part #” field.
Enter the required quantity in the “Reqd. Qty” field, to modify the quantity of parts required for the work order / task execution.
