Selecting work group for modification
This page allows you to search and select the work group that you need to modify. You can carry out a search based on the work group number, name, work center and the status of the work group. The details of the facility such as the work group number, name, work center to which the work group is attached, status of the work group and the number of employees in the work group are displayed.
Select “Edit Work Group” link under the “Hangar Work Order” business component.
The “Select Work Group” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the exact work group number:
Work Group # |
The number that identifies the work group (Alphanumeric, 20). |
Select the “Edit Work Group” link alongside to modify the work group.
To search for a work group
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for the work group to be modified.
Work Group # |
The number that identifies the work group (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the work group number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work groups that are similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the work groups defined in the “Create Work Group” activity of the current business component. |
Name |
The name of the work group (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the work group name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work groups that are similar to the name entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the work group name. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center to which the work group is attached. The system lists all the “active” work centers defined in the “Create Work Center” activity of the “Work Center” business component for the login organization unit. The system retrieves all the work groups associated with the selected work center. The system sets the field blank by default. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the work center. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the work. The system provides the options, “Active” or “Inactive”. The system retrieves all the work groups in the specified status. The system sets the field blank by default. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the status. |
Group Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the work group. The system lists all the “active” quick codes of type “Work Group Category” as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. The system retrieves all the work groups of the category specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. Leave this field, to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the category. |
Lead Skill # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the lead skill of the work group. The system lists all the “Skill” types as created in the “HR Setup” business component. |
Employee # |
The code that identifies the employee who is part of the work group (Alphanumeric, 77). Ensure this value is already defined in the “ Create Employee File“ activity of the “Employee Information” business component and is in “active” status. Help facility available. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the middle name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the employees whose name is similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the employees irrespective of their name. |
Note: Leave all the search fields blank, to retrieve all the work groups defined in the system.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to search for the work groups based on the search criteria.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:
Work Group # |
The work group retrieved by the system. |
Name |
The name of the work group. |
Work Center # |
The work center to which the work group is attached. |
Status |
The status of the work group, which could be either “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Lead Skill # |
The lead skill of the work group. |
Group Category |
The category to which the work group belongs. |
Employee Count |
The number of employees in the work group. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the work group for modification.
