Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This activity allows you to set default options for the various fields in the activities of the “Hangar Work Order” business

The “Set Options” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Non Routine WO

Check this box, if you wish to enable authorization for non-routine work orders.

When a work order is created from the ‘Create Work Order’ activity with a Visit Package reference, the system considers the work order as “Non Routine Work Order”. If this option is selected, the system will update the Authorization status of the work order as “Pending Authorization” when it is created. The work order can be scheduled after authorization only.

If the option is not set, the system updates the Authorization status as “Not Required” when the work order is created.

Corrective WO

Check this box, if you wish to enable authorization for corrective work orders.

Work orders that are created to process the discrepancies observed on the aircraft during Hangar Maintenance are called as “Corrective Work Orders”. If this option is selected, the system will update the Authorization status of the corrective work order as “Pending Authorization”. A corrective work order can be scheduled after authorization only.

If the option is not set, the system updates the Authorization status as “Not Required” when the corrective work order is created.

Sub WO

Check this box, if you wish to enable authorization for sub-work orders.

A work order created with reference to another hangar work order to execute related work is identified as a Sub Work Order. If this option is selected, the system will update the Authorization status of the sub work order as “Pending Authorization”.  A sub work order can be scheduled after authorization only.

If the option is not set, the system updates the Authorization status as “Not Required” when the sub work order is created.

Modification of WO

Use the drop-down list box to specify the conditions for modification of work orders. The system provides the option, “Allowed”, “Not Allowed after Scheduling”, “Requires Re-Authorization” and “Only New Tasks can be added”. The system displays “Allowed” by default.

Re-Scheduling Beyond Compliance Date

Use the drop-down list box to allow or disallow re-scheduling of work orders beyond the compliance date. The system provides the options, “Allowed” and “Not Allowed”. The system displays “Not Allowed” by default.

The compliance date can be identified for the hangar work order while it is being created. If this option is set as “Not Allowed”, the system will restrict the scheduling (i.e. Planned Start Date) from being later than the compliance date identified for the work order.

Use the drop-down list box to allow or disallow assignments to the work orders prior to the scheduling of the work order. The system displays the options “Allowed” and “Not Allowed”. The system displays “Not Allowed”, by default.
