Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page is used to view the basic information required to manufacture a part, like ‘Mfr. UOM’, ‘Lead Time’, ‘Valuation Method’ (Stock Valuation), ‘Default Work Center’, etc. You can also view the certificate details required for the part manufacturing.

The “View Part Manufacturing Information” page appears.

Note: You can invoke this page only if the source for the part is selected as “Make”.

Part Information

The system displays the following in the “Part Information” group box:

Part #

The number identifying the part to be manufactured.

Part Type

The type of the part.

Planning Status

The Planning Status of the part which could be “Active”, “Inactive” or “Fresh”.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

General Information

The system displays the following in the “General Information” group box:

Manufacturing UoM

The unit of measurement defined for the manufactured part.

Lead Time

The lead time for defined manufacturing the part, which could be “Days”. “Weeks”, “Months” or “Years”.

Valuation Method

The valuation method of the part which could be “Standard” or “Actual”.

Serial / Lot # Logic

The method for generating serial number / lot number, which could be “Automatic Generation” and “Manual”.

Sl. No. Type Numbering

The numbering type for the part serial number.

Lot. No. Type Numbering

The numbering type for the lot number of the part.

Phantom Part

Indicates whether the part is phantom part.

Operational Information

The system displays the following in the “Operational Information” group box:

Planner Code

The code identifying the planner responsible for manufacturing part.

Planner Name

The name of the planner.

Role Mapped

The role mapped to access the part manufacturing information.

Default Exe. Doc. Type

The default execution document for part manufacturing.

Execution Facility

The execution facility defined for part manufacture, which could be one of the following: “In-House”, “Outsource”, “In-House and Outsource”.

Product Structure Information

The system displays the following in the “Product Structure Information” group box:

Mandatory?

Indicates whether it is mandatory to provide product structure information while creating make work order. The system displays “Yes” or “No”.

Modification in WO?

Indicates whether modification of product structure information is allowed in the work order. The system displays “Allowed” or “Not Allowed”.

Usage of PMA Parts?

Indicates whether the part is a Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) part. PMA parts are those parts which are not manufactured and supplied by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), but by an external source, with the approval of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The system displays “Yes” or “No”.

Configuration Tracked?

The system displays “Yes” or “No” to indicate whether configuration is tracked for the part or not.

Process Plan Information

The system displays the following in the “Process Plan Information” group box:

Mandatory?

Indicates whether it is mandatory to provide process plan information while creating make work order. The system displays “Yes” or “No”.

Modification in WO?

Indicates whether modification of process plan information is allowed in the work order. The system displays “Allowed” or “Not Allowed”.

Any user-defined information regarding part manufacture.

The name of the user who defined the manufacturing information.

Created Date

The date on which the manufacturing information were created.

Last Modified by

The name of the user who last modified the manufacturing information.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the manufacturing information were last modified.

Source

The source OU from which the manufacturing information are replicated.

Owner

The target OU to which manufacturing information are replicated.
