Part #

The code identifying the part for which you wish to view the part information details (Alphanumeric, 40).

Part #

The code identifying the part for which you wish to view the details (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Manufacturer Part #

The code identifying the manufacturer part number for which you wish to view the details (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that have manufacturer part numbers similar to the value entered here.

Mfr. #

The code identifying the manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the parts that have manufacturers similar to the value entered here.

Part Description

The description of the part for which you wish to view the details (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that have part description similar to the value entered here.

Key Word

The key word of the part for which you wish to view the details (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the key word in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that have key words similar to the value entered here.

Part Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the part for which you wish to view the details. The system provides the options “Raw Material”, “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable”, “Kit” and "Miscellaneous".

Part Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the part for which you wish to view the details. The part category must have been defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity and must be in “Active” status.

Reference Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the reference status of the part for which you wish to view the details. The system provides the options “Under Creation” and “Active”.

Planning Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the planning status of the part for which you wish to view the details. The system provides the options “Active” and “Fresh”. Leave this field blank to retrieve all part numbers irrespective of their status. The system displays “Active” by default.

Planning Type

The planning type of the part. The system lists the options “Reorder Level”, “Min – Max”,  and “None”.

Part Group

Use the drop-down list box to select the part group to which the part belongs. The system lists all the "Active" part groups defined in the "Create Part Groups" activity.

NSN

The National Stock Number of the part. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Display Options

Use the drop-down list box to select the display option to retrieve parts in the multiline.

The system provides the following options:

  • Prime Parts Only – Select this option to display only prime parts relating to the part number to be modified, in the multiline.

  • Non-Prime Parts Only – Select this option to display only non-prime parts relating to the part number to be modified, in the multiline.

Adv. Search ID

Use the drop-down list box to select an advanced search option, for retrieving parts. The system lists the entire advanced search IDs that are in the “Active” status, as defined in the “Set Advanced Search Criteria” page.

Strip Part #

The stripped number of the part without any special characters (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts having strip part number that is similar to the value entered here.

Note:  Leave all the fields blank, if you wish to retrieve all the part numbers defined.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered.

Part #

The number identifying the part.

Mfr. Part #

The number identifying the part issued by the manufacturer.

Mfr. #

The number identifying the manufacturer.

Part Description

A textual description of the part.

Key Word

The keyword used to easily identify the part.

Part Type

The type of the part.

Prime Part #

The number identifying the prime part.

PMA

Stands for Part manufacturer approval. Indicates whether a part is PMA approved or not.

Planning Type

The planning type of the part. The system lists the options “Reorder Level”, “Min - Max” or “”None”

Reference Status

The reference status of the part which could be “Under Creation”, “Active” or “Inactive”.

Selecting a part number for viewing its details – An overview

View Parts Information – A summary of the activity

If you know the part number, you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the part number, the part number issued by the manufacturer, the description of the part, the key word identifying the part, the type of the part, the category of the part and the reference, planning status of the part. The system retrieves all the part numbers, which are in the “Under Creation”,  “Active” or “Inactive” status, based on the search criteria entered.
