Entering cost and additional information for technical log
Using this tab page you can enter the additional information such as outgoing flight details and user-defined details and also the cost details such as material cost, labor cost, facilities cost and miscellaneous costs that are incurred on the technical log.
Select the Cost & Additional Information tab in the “Create Technical Log” page.
The system displays the following details in the “Actual Cost Information” page.
Material Cost |
The material cost reported for the technical log. The system computes the material cost as the difference between the Total Issue Cost of all the parts issued against the material request and the Total Return Cost of all the materials returned. |
Labor Cost |
The labor cost reported for the technical log. The system computes the labor cost as the sum of the Total Employee Cost and the Total Skill Cost. |
Facilities Cost |
The total cost of facilities incurred on the technical log. |
Enter the following field:
Misc. Cost |
The total miscellaneous cost incurred on the technical log (Decimal). |
The system displays the following field:
Total Cost |
The sum of all the costs mentioned above: Material Cost, Labor Cost, Facilities Cost and Misc. Cost. |
Enter the following field in the “Document Attachment Details” group box:
File Name |
The name of the file that is associated to the technical log and is used for reference (Alphanumeric, 50). Mandatory. Help facility available. |
Select the “View File” link provided alongside, to view the file details.
Enter the following fields in the “Reference Document Details” group box:
Ref. Doc Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the reference document for which the additional details are to be specified. The reference document could be “Line Package” or “Others”. |
Ref. Doc # |
The number identifying the reference document for which the addition details are to be entered. |
Enter the following fields in the “Outgoing Flight Details” group box:
Sch. Dep. Date & Time |
The date and time of flight departure (Date and Time Format). Mandatory. Ensure that the date is in the format specified in the “Date & Time Format” field. |
To Station |
Use the drop-down list box to select the destination station of the flight. The system lists all the “Active” stations defined in the “Create Station” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. By default, the system leaves this field blank. |
Day’s First Flight ? |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes”, if the outgoing flight is the first flight for the day. Select “No” otherwise. The system sets this field to “No” by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “User Defined Details” group box:
Technical Log Detail 1 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify additional detail related to the technical log. The system lists all active values defined in the “Flight Log attributes” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. By default, the system leaves this field blank. |
User Defined Detail 1 |
Any other additional details pertaining to the technical log (Alphanumeric, 25). |
Technical Log Detail 2 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify additional detail related to the technical log. The system lists all active values defined in the “Flight Log attributes” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. By default, the system leaves this field blank. |
User Defined Detail 2 |
Any other additional details pertaining to the technical log (Alphanumeric, 25). |
Technical Log Detail 3 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify additional detail related to the technical log. The system lists all active values defined in the “Flight Log attributes” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. By default, the system leaves this field blank. |
User Defined Detail 3 |
Any other additional details pertaining to the technical log (Alphanumeric, 25). |
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Discrepancy Details” tab in the “Create Technical Log” page, to enter discrepancy details associated to the technical log.
Select the “Inspector / Mechanic Information” tab in the "Create Technical Log" page, to record inspector and mechanic information.
