Entering permitted serial number details for aircraft configuration – An overview
This page helps you to identify the serial numbers that are allowed for a particular position code on an aircraft. You can select the reference position code in the “Edit Position Attributes” page and enter permissible serial number details.
You can indicate whether the serial numbers are allowed or not at the reference position code.
The part associated to the reference position code is called as reference part. For the reference part, you can enter serial number details. In addition to that, you can furnish the serial number details for an ‘Alternate Part’ or a ‘Position Based Interchangeable Part’ with respect to the reference part.
You can specify the range of manufacturer serial numbers that are permitted or restricted for the reference position code. If it is only one serial number, then you can specify the value in “From MSN #” field alone. This information is useful when recording aircraft readiness log details in “Edit Aircraft Readiness Log” page.
