Enable Notification
This page can be used to attach messages to each state.
Select the ‘Enable Notification’ link at the bottom of the ‘Define Authorization Process’ page.
The "Enable Notification" page appears.
The system displays the following fields:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered in this page. The specified format is DD-MM-YYYY only. |
Component Name |
The name of the component in which the task is present. |
Activity Name |
The name of the activity in which the task is present. |
Task Name |
The name of the task for which the authorization process needs to be defined. |
Effective From |
The date from which the path is effective. |
Effective To |
The expiry date for the path. |
Path ID |
The unique id of the path to which the state is attached. |
Path Description |
The description of the path. |
Enter the following:
State Description |
Use the drop-down list box to select the description of the state. The system lists all the states chosen for the path. |
Click the "Get" pushbutton to retrieve the notification details.
The system displays the following details in the multiline:
Notification Type |
The type of notification. |
Note: For the notification type "Escalation", the time after which the escalation message is to be sent, must be specified in the "Elapse Time" field and a ‘Unit’ must be selected for it.
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
Enabled |
Use the drop-down list box to enable or disable notification. Select "Yes" to enable notification if any of the notification types listed above is specific to the identified task, else select "No". |
Message ID |
The ID of the message to be mapped to the state (Alphanumeric, 5). Click on the lens icon near the ‘Message Id‘. This will launch the ‘Help on Message‘ page. Message Id can be selected from this page. |
The system displays the following field in the multiline:
Message Description |
A detailed description of the message. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
Send Message |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the time frame requirement to send the message. The options include 'After', ’As Required’ and 'Before’. Selecting 'As Required' would enable you to send the message immediately. Selecting 'Before' or 'After' would enable time frame to be specified (as 'Elapse Time' and 'Unit') before sending the message. |
Elapse Time |
The time after which the message must be sent (Time format). |
Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to select the time unit. The system lists ‘Hours’, ’Days’, ’Months’, and ‘Years’ as options. |
Note: If a value is specified in the "Elapse Time" field, "Unit" field cannot be empty.
Enter the following fields in the multiline:

Use the drop-down list box to send notification through email. Select "Yes" to allow the message to be sent by email else select "No". |
Fax |
Use the drop-down list box to send notification through fax. Select "Yes" to allow the message to be sent by fax else select "No". |
Mobile |
Use the drop-down list box to send notification through mobile phone. Select "Yes" to allow the message to be sent by mobile phone else select "No". |
Click the ‘Save’ pushbutton to save the details.
To proceed
Select the “User Information” link at the bottom of the page to specify user information.
You can attach messages to the selected state. You can enable or disable each message type for a state. You can give details like ‘When the message is to be sent ‘,’By which means the message is to be sent’.
