Recording permitted work delays

This section enables you to define the permitted delay in performing a work when it is put on hold.
Select the "Permitted Work Delays" tab in the "Edit Terms of Execution" page.
Enter the following field:
Hold Code |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the hold code for the work delays that are permitted. Mandatory. The system lists all the “Active” hold codes of type “Entity” as defined in the “Define Process Entities” activity of the “Common Master” business component. Ensure that the hold code specified in this field is not specified again in any other row. |
The system displays the following fields:
Hold Description |
The textual description of the hold code. |
Caused By |
The specific function which is the cause for the delay in performing the work. Whether caused by “Internal”, “Customer”, or ”Supplier”. The system displays the value as specified for the “Process Parameter” “Caused By” as defined in the “Set Process Parameters” link in the “Define Process Entities” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. More…The hold caused by could be due one of the following functions:

Initiated By |
The triggering factor due to which the delay in performing the work is caused. Whether caused by “Commercial”, “Planning” or “Execution”. The system displays the value as defined for the “Process Parameter” “Initiation Level” as defined in the “Set Process Parameters” link in the “Define Process Entities” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. Note: Ensure that at least one record is available in the multiline.
Click the “Save Permitted Delays” pushbutton to save the permitted work delay details against the contract.
