The “Maintain Invoicing Milestones for CLIN / SLIN” page appears.

Contract #

A unique number identifying the contract for which you wish to record milestones for CLIN SLIN.

Ensure the following:

·         The value specified in this field is a valid contract number with contract classification as US Defense - Contracts or task Order.

·         The contract number provided in this field is in “Approved” or “Revised” status.

Search facility enabled.

Note that the system displays the milestone definitions for all the CLIN/SLIN other than for those with FP by CLIN as the Pricing Basis.

The system displays the following fields in the ‘Milestone Details’ multiline:

CLIN

Contract line number representing a reference number for an agreed work scope-pricing.

SLIN

Sub contract line number representing a sub reference number for an agreed work scope-pricing.

Inv. Type

The type of the invoice generated for the customer order, 

Inv. Category

The category of the invoice to be generated for the invoice release associated with the customer order for the particular CLIN SLIN.

Invoicing Event

The event at which you wish to invoice the customer.

Event Description

A textual description of the occurrence of the event based on which you wish to invoice the customer. Data entry in this field is mandatory if “Manual” is selected as the “Invoicing Event”.

Bill Prior to (Days)

The number of days before the occurrence of the event prior to which Invoice can be generated.

Triggering Task / Doc. #

The task based on which the customer will be invoiced. This field displays a value when the Invoicing event is selected as ‘Task Closure’, ’Task Completion’ or ‘Task Initiation’.

Event Date

The date associated with the event on which the Invoicing needs to be done.

Ensure that the date specified in this field is a future date that is within the contract effectivity period.

Note that the system leaves this field blank if the milestone date is not available.

Initiate Invoice

Use the drop-down list box to specify the whether the milestone date is already and whether invoice can be initiated. Data selection in this field is mandatory if event date is specified. The system displays the following options:

  • Yes - Select this option if the milestones date is achieved and invoice release can be initiated.

  • No – Select this option if the milestones date is not achieved/invoice release generation should not be initiated.

By default the system leaves this field blank.

The system displays the following fields in the ‘Milestone Details’ multiline:

Basis

The basis of billing for the respective invoicing milestone, which could be ‘Actuals’ or ‘Quote’

Billable Value

The value to be billed to the customer in case of the Invoicing Type being ‘Prepayment’

Cumulative?

Indicates whether the percentage on the prepayment value is cumulative. You can select from the options “Yes” and “No”.

Pay Term

Indicates the duration of the time taken after invoicing to honor the bill by the customer.

Notes

A textual description of the terms defined for invoice and payment.

Task Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the task milestone. Data selection in this field is mandatory. You can select from the below options:

  • Active

  • Inactive

By default the system leaves this field blank.

The system displays the following fields in the ‘Milestone Details’ multiline:

Modified by

The login ID of the user who modified the record last.

Modified Date

The date in which the record was last modified.
