Request Leave

This page allows you to apply leave request. The leave snapshot shows the units of leave carried over, leave credited for the calendar year, applied leave units for the employee leave type, approved leave units for the current calendar year and balance leave units of the employee. You can view the leave summary, leave transaction details of the employee. You can also view the holiday list of the organization. You can edit and view the existing leave request details.

Procedure

To create leave request details

  1. Click Leave Management from the Portal Login menu.

  2. Click Request Leave on the right menu.

  3. In the Leave Snapshot section, choose an option from Leave Calendar combo to specify the leave calendar of the organization.

  4. The system displays the Leave Snapshot graph shows the units of leave carried over, leave credited for the calendar year, applied leave units for the employee leave type, approved leave units for the current calendar year and balance leave units of the employee.

  5. Click Leave Summary link to view the leave summary details of the employee.

  6. Click Leave Details link to view the leave details of the employee.

  7. In the Apply Leave section, click ID Datahyperlink to launch edit leave request pop-up window.

Note: The system saves the leave request details and generates the revised request ID.

  1. Choose an option from Type combo to specify the type of leave to be applied. The system lists all the leave types available in the OU. The system displays the available leave based on the type selection.

  2. Enter Start Date from which the leave is applied.

  3. Enter End Date until which the leave is applied.

  4. Choose an option from Session From combo to specify the session from which the leave is applied.

  5. Choose an option from Session To combo to specify the session until which the leave is applied.

  6. Choose an option from Start Hours Minutes combo to specify the starting hours and minutes from which the leave is applied.

  7. Choose an option from End Hours Minutes combo to specify the ending hours and minutes from which the leave is applied.

  8. Enter Duration of leave request.

  9. Enter Holiday date on which the employee is worked if the leave type is selected as Comp Off.

  10. Choose an option from Reason combo to specify the reason for applying leave. The system lists Function, Illness, Others and Vacation as options.

  11. Enter Additional Reason if reason is selected as Others.

  12. Select the check box Leave Salary if the employee to specify the leave salary of the employee.

  13. Enter name of the Covering Employee in the absence of employee.

  14. Click Attach Document to attach the required document.

  15. Click Apply to apply the leave request.

Note: The system saves leave request details and generates leave ID.

  1. Click Clear to clear the existing leave request details.

  2. Click View Holiday List link to view holiday list of the organization.
