Unit Structure Setup

Date Format

The date format that is applicable to the login user. More Details

Position Code

The unique code of the position to which you want to map the required competencies.

Position Title

The title of the position for which you are mapping the required competencies.

Position Description

The unique description of the position to which you want to map the required competencies.

Department Code

The unique code of the department to which the position for which you are mapping the competencies belongs to.

Job Code

The unique code of the job to which the position for which you are mapping the competencies belongs to.

Position Code

The unique code of the position whose competencies you want to map by default to the position being defined. This field is help-enabled.

Select

Select the check box corresponding to the employment unit for which you want to specify the competency details.

Employment Unit Code

The unique code of the employment unit.

Employment Unit Description

The unique description of the employment unit.

Competencies Defined

The system indicates if the competencies are defined for the corresponding employment unit or otherwise.

Competency Code

The unique competency code to be mapped to the position.

Competency Description

The unique description of the corresponding competency.

Competency MDL

The minimum desired level of the corresponding competency. Indicates the minimum extent to which the competency must be present in an employee. If the competency is “Communication Skills”, you can specify a value, for example, 35 or 45., to indicate the minimum extent to which the competency must be present in the employee. The maximum value could be set in the system parameters as 100, 200 etc. Depending on the maximum value set in the system parameters, the user can assign the minimum desired level. You can also modify the minimum desired level of the competency.

Competency Weight

The weightage of the competency with respect to other competencies specified for the position.

Competency Wt(%)

The weightage of the competency, in percentage.

Mandatory

From the drop  down list box, select required value to indicate whether the corresponding competency is mandatory for the position or otherwise. Select “Yes” to make the competency mandatory for the position and select “No” to  indicate otherwise.
