Select the “Create Position” hyperlink in the “Create Position” page. Note that this link will be activated provided the position control feature is enabled for the selected job.
The “Create Position” page appears.
The system displays the following details at the top of the page.
Unit Structure Setup |
The organization unit in which the unit structure component is deployed. Tell me more |
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. More Details |
Position Code |
The unique code of the position for which you are specifying the details. |
Enter the following.
Position Title |
A title to the position being created. |
Position Description |
A description to the position being created. |
Inactive |
Select the check box if you want to make the position details inactive. This will make the details not available for use in other activities. |
Department |
The system displays the name of the department for which you are creating the position. |
Job |
The system displays the name of the job for which the position is being created. |
No. of Posts |
The required number of posts for the position. |
Effective From |
The date from which the position must come into effect. |
Effective To |
The date till which the position must be in effect. |
Comments |
The comments pertaining to the position in the free text field. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details entered.
Select the “Record Position Qualifications” pushbutton to specify the qualifications required for the position.
Select the “Record Position Competencies” pushbutton to specify the competencies required for the position.
Select the “View Applicable OUs” pushbutton to view the employment units applicable to the position.
