4 Enter the following:
Training General Information Unit |
Select the organization unit in which you must create the training general information unit. The drop-down list box displays all the organization units where you have permission to create the training general information unit. These organization units are called setup OUs. A setup organization unit is an organization unit in which you normally define master information. There are other organization units that can access information from this setup organization unit. |
Language |
The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. In other words, this refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity. From the drop-down list box, select the language in which you require to view the external faculty record

4 Select the faculty, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
To select through Direct Entry
Use this method if you know the complete code of the faculty.
4 Enter the code of the faculty whose details you want to view, in the “Faculty Code” field.
4 Select the “View External Faculty”link.
4 The “View External Faculty” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
4 To view the external faculty, refer to the topic “Viewing External faculty”.
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the faculty code or the name of the faculty.
4 Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Faculty Code |
To view the faculty codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the faculty codes. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, FCL1*, will search for those faculty codes that start with FCL1. Other examples are *FCL1, F*1 and FCL* |
Faculty Name |
To view the faculty names containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the faculty codes. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, FCL1*, will search for those faculty codes that start with FCL1. Other examples are *FCL1, F*1 and FCL* |
4 Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
Note:
If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the
records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected training general information unit.
4 The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the faculty records that satisfy the search criteria specified.
Faculty Code |
The unique
code that identifies |
Faculty Name |
The name of the faculty. |
4 Check the "Select" checkbox beside the faculty code you want to view and click the hyperlink on the "Faculty Name".
4 The “View Internal Faculty” page appears.
To proceed:
4 Select “View External Faculty” link from “Select External faculty to view” page.
Use this page to select the external faculty whose details you want to view.
