Recording a staff suggestion
Select the hyperlink on the required employee name from the multiline from the “Select Employee to Record Suggestions” page.
The “Record Staff Suggestion” page appears.
The system displays the following.
Date format |
The date format as applicable to the login user. Tell me more |
SSS Administration Unit |
The organization unit selected in the previous page. Tell me more |
Employee Code |
The code and name of the employee. |
Employment Unit |
The name of the employment unit of the employee. |
Department |
The department to which the employee belongs. |
Job Title |
The job title of the employee. |
Position Title |
The position title of the employee. |
Grade Set |
The grade set of the employee. |
Grade |
The grade of the employee. |
Submission Date |
The date on which the employee’s suggestion is submitted. If the suggestion is in the “Draft” status, the system displays the date on which the employee has saved the suggestion. |
Status |
The status of the suggestion. It can be one of the following:

The unique number that identifies a suggestion submitted by an employee. Help Available |
Select the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the existing details, if any.
Specify the following in the “Co-Suggestor (S)” multiline.
Employee Code |
The code of the co-suggestor. Help Available |
The system displays the following in the “Co-Suggestor (S)” multiline.
Employee Name |
The name of the co-suggestor. |
Employment Unit |
The name of the employment unit of the co-suggestor. |
Department |
The department to which the co-suggestor belongs. |
Job Title |
The job title of the co-suggestor. |
Position Title |
The position title of the co-suggestor. |
Grade Set |
The grade set of the co-suggestor. |
Grade |
The grade of the co-suggestor. |
Specify the following.
Suggestion Area |
From the drop-down list box, select the suggestion area for which the employee’s suggestion is to be recorded. The drop-down list displays values, such as Finance Related, Training, Work Condition, Office Procedures, etc. |
Why Suggestion Is Made / Existing Situation |
The reason for the suggestion that the employee makes. A description of the existing situation must also be given. The text entered must not exceed 1000 characters. |
Suggestion for Improvement |
The suggestion given for improving the existing situation. The text entered must not exceed 1000 characters. |
Specify the following in the “Tangible Benefits” group box.
Manpower Savings |
The numeric value that will denote the savings on manpower in terms of Man-Month(S). |
Cost Savings ($) |
The numeric value that will denote the savings on cost in terms of Singapore dollars per year. |
Faster Processing Time |
The numeric value that will denote the comparative higher speed of the existing processing time in terms of Day(S). |
Others (If Any) |
The other benefits that you want to specify, if any. The text entered must not exceed 255 characters. |
Specify the following.
Intangible Benefits |
The benefits of implementing the suggestion that is indefinite in terms of measurement. The text entered must not exceed 500 characters. |
Can You Self Implement |
From the drop-down list box, select “Yes”, if the employee can initiate to implement the suggestion. By default, the system displays “No”. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
The system saves the details that you entered and generates a temporary suggestion number for a new suggestion.
Select the “Submit” pushbutton.
The system submits the suggestion for evaluation by evaluators and generates a suggestion number for the suggestion.
Select the “Delete” pushbutton.
The system deletes the existing suggestion that is the draft status.
