Selecting a payset for editing
Select “Edit Payset” from the left pane.
The “Select Payset to Edit” page appears.
The system displays the following field.

Select “Payset Definition Unit” from the drop down list box.
All the payrolls that have been linked with the selected payroll definition unit are listed in the “Payroll Description” drop-down list box.
From the “Language” drop-down list box, select the language in which the payset record must be displayed. By default the system displays the language in which the login user logged in. In other words, this refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity.
From the “Payroll Description” drop-down list box select the payroll for which you require to Edit the attached paysets.
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the payroll code or the payroll description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the payroll code or description contain. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box.

To view all payset codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these payset codes. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, PCC1*, will search for those payset codes that start with PCC1. Other examples are *PCC1, PC*C1, PCC1* and PCC1*. | |
Payset Short Description |
To view all payset descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these paysets. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. PCD1*, will search for those payset descriptions that start with PCD1. | |
Payset Long Description |
To view payset records whose descriptions contain specific characters, type in the starting letter/s of these characters or any combination with wild cards. For example, if “EXEC” is searched for, the system displays all the payset record descriptions starting with or containing the characters “EXEC”. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
The list of payset records satisfying the search criteria will be displayed.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system
will fetch the records that satisfy this value. If more than one search
criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying
all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected payset definition unit.
To edit the description of a record in the current page, edit the payset description in the “Description” field.
Note: You can also edit the description from the “Edit Payset” page.
To edit the selected payset record, click the check box beside the record to select it. Select “Modify Payset” hyperlink at the bottom of the page. Alternatively you can select the hyperlinked payset code whose details are to be edited.
To indicate that the organization unit mapping of the payset record is to be modified, select “Org. Unit(s) mapping hyperlink at the bottom of the page.
