Recording element slab details
Select the “Record Element Slab Details” link from “Map Payset – Pay Element” page.
The “Record Element Slab Details” page appears.
The system displays the following.
Date |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. Tell me more |
Payset Definition Unit |
The payset definition unit from the previous page. |
Payroll Description |
The description of the payroll from the previous page. |
Payset Code |
The unique code of the payset that you selected in the previous page. |
Payset Description |
The description of the payset for the payset code that you selected in the previous page. |
Pay Element Code |
The unique code of the pay element that you selected in the previous page. |
Pay Element Description |
The description of the specific pay element that you selected in the previous page. |
Effective From Process Period |
The starting range of the process period that you selected in the previous page. |
Effective To Process Period |
The ending range of the process period that you selected in the previous page. |
Select the “Previous” pushbutton.
The system displays the previous set of records in the multiline, if any.
Select the “Next” pushbutton.
The system displays the next set of records in the multiline, if any.
Specify the following in the “Dependent Pay Element” multiline.
Pay Element Code |
The unique code of the pay element for which you want to record the element slab details. Help Available |
Pay Element Description |
The system displays the description of the pay element code that you have selected. |
To specify the element slab details
Enter the following in the “Rate Table” multiline.
Income From |
The income amount from which the pay element slab is applicable. |
Income To |
The income amount till which the pay element slab is applicable. |
Percentage |
The percentage of the income that will be calculated and paid to the employee, if his/her income falls in the specified range. For example, if you enter 3, then 3% of the income will be paid to the employee. |
Units |
The units of electricity that will be given for free to the employee, if his/her income falls in the specified range. |
Amount |
The amount that will be paid to the employee, if his/her income falls in the specified range. |
Minimum Amount |
The lowest amount that will be paid to the employee, if his/her income falls in the specified range. |
Maximum Amount |
The highest amount that will be paid to the employee, if his/her income falls in the specified range. |
To indicate whether a history of the modifications is to be maintained
Enter the following
Modification Option |
Select “Correct” or “Update” from the drop-down list box. If you select “Correct”, the pay element slab is modified without any change in the effective date. If you select “Update”, the pay element slab is modified and the date from which it takes effect is specified by you. |
New Effective From Process Period |
If the modification option you chose is “Update”, specify the date from which the current modification of the pay element slab will take effect. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
The system saves the details entered and updates the changes made.
