Mapping recurring pay elements to employee
Ensure that you are in the “Select Employee for Mapping to Recurring Pay Elements” page and you have selected the employee whose pay element values are to be specified.
The “Map Recurring Pay Elements to Employee” page appears.
The system displays the following.
Date Format |
The date format as applicable to the login user. Tell me more |
Employee – Element Data Unit |
The employee – element data unit that you selected in the previous page. |
Payroll |
The payroll selected in the previous page. |
Payset |
The payset selected in the previous page. |
Assignment No. |
The assignment number of the employee, based on which the employee is entitled to the pay elements. |
Employee Code |
The code of the employee selected in the previous page. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
To specify the values of the recurring pay elements
Enter the following fields in the multiline.
Pay Element Code |
The code of each recurring pay element for which the employee is entitled to a value that deviates from the pay element value within the payset. |

Pay Element Description |
When you select the pay element code from the “Help”, the employee name is displayed. |
Note: All the pay elements pertain to the same payset.
Amount |
If the pay element value for the employee is to be specified in terms of a specific amount, enter the amount |
Rule |
If the value of the pay element for the employee is to be determined by a rule, enter the rule. |

From Process Period |
The process period from which the redefined pay element value is effective. |

Select the “Save” pushbutton.
To modify the value of a recurring pay element
Ensure that you selected the employee whose pay element values are to be modified, in the “Select Employee for Mapping to Recurring Pay Elements” page.
Enter the Map Recurring Pay Elements to Employee” page.
Select the “Show Mapping” pushbutton.
The multiline displays the details of all the pay elements whose values have been redefined for the employee, until date. It will also display the range of process periods for which each pay element value is effective
You can edit the “Amount” or “Rule” value, depending on which is applicable.
To delete the recurring pay element values
Ensure that you selected the employee whose pay element values are to be deleted, in the “Select Employee for Mapping to Recurring Pay Elements” page.
Enter the Map Recurring Pay Elements to Employee” page.
Select the “Show Mapping” pushbutton.
The multiline displays all the pay elements currently mapped to the selected employee, along with the pay element value defined for each employee.
Select the records that are to be deleted by checking besides them in the “Select” column of the multiline.
Select the Delete icon of the multiline header. The system will delete all the records that have been checked in the multiline.
Select the “Save” pushbutton to delete the record.
Note: Once deleted, the record cannot be restored.
