Record Appraisal Templates - A summary of the activity
Through this activity, you can create, edit or delete an evaluation template. An evaluation template consists of a set of objectives with a specified weightage assigned to each, which you can use to evaluate the performance of employees. You can use existing objectives to create the evaluation template, or define new objectives specifically for this template.
After you create the template, you can customize and reuse it for different groups of employees; this is achieved by adding, editing or deleting the objectives.
Create an evaluation template: To create an evaluation template, you are to specify the following:
4 A brief description of the evaluation template. Optionally, you can provide a more detailed description.
4 The code of each objective against which the appraise must be rated. You can either retrieve an existing objective that was defined through the “Record Appraisal Objectives” activity or identify new objectives. If you retrieve an existing objective, you can edit it and change its description, to suit the template. Note that neither the edited objectives nor the new objectives that you define in this activity will be updated to the “Record Appraisal Objectives” activity.
4 The short and long descriptions of this objective
4 The weightage for this objective, in comparison with the other objectives in the evaluation template. At your request, the system will convert each weightage to percentage.
Edit and delete the evaluation template: You can retrieve the evaluation template and edit all its details. You can also delete the evaluation record, altogether.
