Authorizing multiple leave applications
Select “Authorize Leave Application” from the left pane.
The “ Authorize Leave Applications " page appears.
The system displays the following.
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. |
Enter the following.
Leave Administration Unit
|
The organization unit where the “Leave Administration” component is deployed. |
Enter the following search criteria
Leave Type |
To retrieve the leave applications of a specific leave type, select this leave type from the drop-down list box. For example, to view all the leave applications for the leave type “Casual Leave”, select “Casual Leave”, from the drop-down list box. |
Employee Name

To view all employee names containing specific characters, type in the starting character/s of the employee names. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c* will search for those employee names that start with c. Other examples are *c, c*l, and *c*. |
Employee Code |
To view the employee codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the employee codes. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c* will search for those employee codes that start with c. Other examples are *c, c and c*. |
Application Status |
To view all applications that are of a specific status, select this status. For example, select “Pending for Authorization” from the drop-down list box to view all applications of this status. |
Department |
To view the department name containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the department name. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c* will search for those department names that start with c. Other examples are *c, c and c*. |
Work Location |
To view the work location containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the work location. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c* will search for those work locations that start with c. Other examples are *c, c and c*. |
Position |
To view the position containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the work location. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c* will search for those work locations that start with c. Other examples are *c, c and c*. |
Job |
To view the job specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the job. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c* will search for those jobs that start with c. Other examples are *c, c and c*. |
Grade Set |
To view the grade set specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the grade set. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c* will search for those grade sets that start with c. Other examples are *c, c and c*. |
Grade |
To view the grade specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the grade. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c* will search for those grades that start with c. Other examples are *c, c and c*. |
The multiline displays the following details of leave applications that satisfy your search criteria
Application Status |
The status of the leave application. It could be one of the following: "Pending for Authorization - Create“, "Pending for Authorization - Alter“, "Pending for Authorization - Cancel“. |
Employee Name
|
The name of the employee for whom the leave application is created. |
Leave Type |
The type of leave for which the leave application was created |
Requested Leave Units
|
The number of leave units requested by the employee, through the “Request for Leave” activity. |
Units
|
The unit in which the leave type is maintained. It can be either “days” or “hours”. |
Rejection Reason |
If the employee’s leave application is to be rejected, enter the reason for rejection. |
From Date |
The date from which the employee has applied for leave. |
From Time |
The time from which the employee is going on leave. |
From Session |
The session from which the employee is going on leave. |
To Date |
The date until which the employee has applied for leave. |
To Time |
The time until which the employee will be on leave. |
To Session |
The session until which the employee will be on leave. |
Employee Code |
The employee code of the employee for whom the leave application is created. |
Department |
The department to which the applicant belongs. |
Application No. |
The leave application number that was automatically generated by the system in the “Leave Application” page, after the employee’s leave application details were entered. |
Employment Unit |
The employment unit to which the employee belongs. |
Work Location |
The work location of the employee. |
Position |
The name of the position being held by the employee. |
Job |
The job title of the employee. |
Grade Set |
The gradeset to which the employee belongs. |
Grade |
The grade to which the employee belongs. |
In the multiline, select each leave application that is to be authorized. You can select leave applications of all statuses.
Select the “Authorize” pushbutton, after all the required leave applications have been selected.
In the multiline, select each leave application that is to be rejected
Select the “Rejected” pushbutton, after all the required leave applications have been selected.
In the multiline, select the hyperlinked “Employee Name” to enter the “Authorize Individual Leave Application” page, or
Select "View Leave Application Status", or
Select the “View Leave Summary" link, or
Select the "View Altered Leave Request" link.
