The system displays the following.
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. More Details. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Date of Joining |
The date and time, in which the selected employee joined the organization, is displayed. |
Assignment No |
The primary assignment number that has been allocated for an employee, in sequential order. The value in this field is system generated. |
Assignment Type |
The type of assignment undertaken by the employee. The assignment type indicates if the employee for whom the primary assignment is being created is regular employee, working on contract basis or is a consultant etc. Note that you can create primary assignment for all assignment types. |
Position |
The position code for the selected employee. You cannot define the position for which you do not have access permissions. Help available. |

Assignment Effective From

The date and time from which the primary assignment defined for the employee, must be activated. The date and time of joining is displayed in this field, by default. |
Specifying organizational attributes
Regulatory region |
The region governed by a common law. Select the required regulatory region from the drop-down list box. |
Employment Unit |
Select the employment unit of the employee from the drop-down list box. |
Work location |
The work location where the organization is located. Select the work location of the employee from the drop-down list box. |
Business Unit
|
Select the business unit of the employee from the drop-down list box. |
Company |
The company to which the employee belongs. |
Specifying hierarchy point
Hierarchy Short Description |
A short description for the hierarchy. Select the description of the hierarchy from the drop-down list box. |
Hierarchy Chain |
The hierarchy code of the employee. Help available. |

Department

The department to which the employee belongs.

Cost Center
|
The description of the cost center to which the function’s costs are currently assigned. |

Job |
The job code for the selected employee is displayed. |
Job Description |
The job type for the selected employee is displayed. Example: regular, part time |

A description of the job level to which the selected employee belongs. |
Job Family |
The job family to which the selected employee belongs. |
Specifying job attributes
EEO Class
|
The Equal Employment Opportunity classification, which is captured as part of Job Information. |
Gradeset |
From the drop-down list box select the gradeset of the employee. |
Grade |
From the drop-down list box select the grade of the employee. |
Job Classification |
The job classification for the selected employee. Example: permanent, temporary, contract. |
Working Condition
|
The working condition of the employee’s work place. |
Workers Compensation code
|
Specify the code pertaining to the workers compensation. |
Salaried/hourly
|
Specify whether the employee is paid on a salary basis or hourly basis. |
Standard Hours |
The standard hours for which the employee is required to work. |
Medical check Required |
Indicate whether a medical check is required for the selected employee. |
Tipped |
Specify whether the employee is tipped or not. |
Standard Hours |
The standard hours for which the employee is required to work. |
Work Experience |
The work experience of the employee. |
Medical Check Required |
Select the checkbox if Medical Checkup is required for the employee. Otherwise deselect the checkbox. |
Medical check requirements |
The medical check requirements pertaining to the employee. |
Tipped |
Select the checkbox to indicate that the employee is tipped. Otherwise deselect the checkbox. |
Mobile |
Select the checkbox to indicate that the employee is mobile. Otherwise deselect the checkbox. |
User- defined drop-down list box |
The label of the drop-down list box can be user-defined and must have been defined in the "Change Field Literals" activity of the "Application Tools" component. |
User-defined field |
The label of the field can be user-defined and must have been defined in the "Change Field Literals" activity of the "Application Tools" component. |
FTE |
Full Time Equivalent of the job (If the regular working hours are 8 hrs/day, and if two employees are employed part-time for 4 hours and 6 hours respectively, then their FTE would be 0.5 and 0.75 respectively). |
Regular/Temporary |
Specify whether the selected employee is hired on a regular or temporary basis. |
Full/Part time

Specify whether the selected employee is working on a full time or part time basis. |

You can view, modify or delete the content.
Select the "Cancel" pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.

Specify Benefit-related Information
Union Affiliation |
From the drop-down list box, select the union to which the employee belongs, in the organization. |
Group |
From the drop-down list box, select the group of the union to which the employee belongs. |
Description |
The description of the union given by the user. |
Comments |
Any comments pertaining to the primary assignment. |
Select the book icon beside the "Comments" field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.
You can view, modify or delete the content.
Select the "OK" pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
Select the "Cancel" pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
Select the "Save" pushbutton to save the details entered.
Select “Record Compensation" link at the bottom of the page.
