Configure Resource Relationship
This activity allows you to define the relationship between the various types of resources. The connectivity details between resources are captured in this activity. The connectivity between resources can be of the following combinations only – RM Server to App Server, App Server to RM Server or Gateway, Gateway to Client, WebServer or AppServer, Client to Gateway or File Server or Client, Web Server to Gateway. You can also view the resource relationship details by selecting the source and target resource type and click the view resource relationship details.
Select the “Configure Resource Relationship” link under the “Deployment Process” business component.
The “Configure Resource Relationship” page appears.

page of the respective field.
Enter the following details in the header:
ResourceType |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the source resource type for configuring the relationship. The combo is loaded with “App Server”, “Client”, “File Server”, “Gateway” ,”RM Server” and “Web Server”. The system defaults “App Server” by default on launch of the page. |
Resource ID |
A unique code identifying the source resource. Mandatory. |
ResourceType |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the target resource type for configuring the relationship. The combo is loaded with “App Server”, “Client”, “File Server”, “Gateway” ,”RM Server” and “Web Server”. The system defaults “Gateway” by default on launch of the page. |
To view the resource relationship details
Click the “View Resource Relationship Details” push button to view the resource relationship details.
The system fetches all the resource details and displays in the multiline.
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Resource ID |
A unique code identifying the target resource for configuring the relationship between source resource type and target resource type. |
Resource Name |
The name of the target resource. |
To save the resource relationship details
Click the “Save Resource Relationship Details” push button to save the resource relationship details.
The system saves the relationship details between the source resource type and target resource type for the particular Resource ID.
