This page allows you to view the serial number and lot number details of the serial or lot number controlled part. Tell me more

The “View Serial & Lot Details” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the “User Preferences” business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following in the “Opening Balance Details” group box:

Opening Balance #

The number identifying the opening balance document.

Status

The status of the document, which could be “Draft”, “Fresh” or “Authorized” or “Canceled”.

Warehouse #

The number identifying the warehouse in which the parts have been received or stored.

Warehouse Description

The textual description of the warehouse.

Line #

Use the drop-down list box to select the line number of the opening balance document which contains the part for which you wish to view the serial or lot number details.

Note: The system lists all the parts that are serial number or lot number controlled.

The system displays the following in the “Line # Details” group box, based on the line number selected:

Part #

The number identifying the part for which the serial number and lot number details are displayed.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Part Control Type

The type of part control, which could be “Serial Controlled”, “Lot Controlled” or “Serial & Lot Controlled” or “None

WH – Zone #

The number identifying the zone of the warehouse.

WH – Bin #

The number identifying the bin of the warehouse.

Quantity

The quantity of the stock available in the warehouse.

UOM

The unit of measurement in which the stock is stocked.

Part Type

The type of the part.

Valuation Method

The costing method of the part, which could be Standard Value, Actual Value, Average Value, FIFO or LIFO.

Customer #

The number identifying the customer.

Customer Name

The name of the customer.

Base Currency

The base currency of the organization unit.

Note: The system retrieves and displays the customer number corresponding to the line number of the opening balance document, and the customer name from the “Customer” business component.

The system displays the following fields in the “Serial / Lot Information” multiline:

Manufacturer Lot #

The number identifying the lot number issued by the manufacturer.

Manufacturer Serial #

The number identifying the serial number issued by the manufacturer.

Lot #

The number identifying the lot number of the part, which is lot controlled.

Serial #

The number identifying the serial number of the part, which is serial number controlled.

Condition

The condition of the part received, if the part is of type “Component”. The condition of the part could be “New”, “Overhauled”, “Serviceable” or “Unserviceable”.

Expiry Date

The date of expiry of the part.

Quantity

The quantity of the part received.

Rate

The rate per unit of the part.

Value

The total cost of the part.

Certificate Type

The type of certificate issued along with the part received.

Certificate #

The number identifying the certificate.

Certificate Date

The date on which the certificate was issued.

Authorization #

The number identifying the authorization.

System Tracking Ref #

The number that is used to track the certification details of the part received.

Remarks

Additional remarks pertaining to the serial number or lot number of the part.

Viewing Opening Balance - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to view the serial number and lot number details of the serial or lot number controlled part. You can also view inspection information such as the certificate number and the type of the certificate received, the authorization number, and the reference number, using which the certification details can be tracked.

This page also allows you to select a serial number controlled part to view the parameter information.
