This page allows you to revaluate the inventory.
Select “Compute Inventory Revaluation” link under the “Stock Maintenance” business component.
Note: You cannot launch this page, if the ”Numbering Type” is not defined for the current event in the “Document Numbering Class” business component.
The “Compute Inventory Revaluation” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date & Time Format |
The number identifying the stock correction document to be authorized or cancelled (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the stock correction document number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the stock correction documents with stock correction numbers similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the stock correction documents. |
The system displays the following the “Inventory Revaluation Details” group box:

Revaluation # |
A unique number identifying the revaluation document, generated on clicking the “Update” pushbutton and on selecting the numbering type.Use the drop-down list box to select the correction type for authorization, which could be one of the following: |

The present date in the format as defined in the “Date & Time Format”. |

Numbering Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the numbering type based on which the revaluation document number must be generated. This system lists all the “Active” numbering types defined in the event “Inventory Revaluation” in the “Document Numbering Class” business component. |
The system displays the following:
Status |
The status of the Stock Revaluation Document, which will be “Draft”, “In progress”, “Fresh” or “Closed”.

Revaluation Period |
Use the drop down list box to select the revaluation period comprising of “Revaluation Period<From Date>” and “Revaluation Period<To Date>” defined in the “Financial Calendar” business component. Ensure that a value is selected in this field and the “Revaluation Period<To Date>” is same as the current date or later. Ensure that the finance book corresponding to Inventory Management, Business Function Group is in “Open” status. |
Account Usage |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the account, against which the financial postings will be performed. The system lists all the “Active” usages as defined in the “Account Rule Definition” business component and mapped to the event “Stock Correction”, only if the current business component interacts with the “Account Rule Definition” business component. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Costing Usage |
Use the drop down list box to select the type of costing usage to be used. The system lists all the “Active” user defined usages as defined in the “Cost Center Rule Definition” business component. The system leaves the field blank by default. Mandatory. |
Revaluation Type |
Use the drop down list box to select either the “Balance Sheet and Stock Revaluation” or the “Balance Sheet Revaluation”. The system will not retrieve details in the “Stock Revaluation Details” tab, if the “Balance Sheet Revaluation” is selected. “Balance Sheet and Stock Revaluation” – indicates reversal journal voucher and stock correction document in authorized status will be generated. “Balance Sheet Revaluation”– indicates reversal journal voucher in authorized status will be generated The system displays “Balance Sheet and Stock Revaluation” by default. |
Revaluation Basis |
Use the drop down list box to select the “Supplier-Part Mapping”. The system displays “Supplier-Part Mapping” by default. |
Storage Location |
Use the drop-down list box to select one of the warehouses pertaining to that Storage Location. The system lists all the Active Storage Locations defined in the “Storage Administration” Business Component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Valuation Method |
Use the drop down list box to select the method in which the costing of the part is done at an inventory location, which can be “Weighted Average” or “Actual Cost”. Weighted Average Cost - indicates, that the issue rate is calculated as the average of receipt values divided by the receipt quantity “Actual Cost” - indicates that the receipts and issues of the stock are always made at the actual cost. The system displays “CMAV” by default. |
Valuation Level |
The system displays either the “Location” or “Warehouse”, based on the value selected in the “Valuation Method” field. The system displays “Location”, if the “Valuation Method” field is set as “CMAV”, and displays “Warehouse”, if the “Valuation Method” field is set as “Actual Cost”. The system displays “Location” by default. |
Warehouse # |
Use the drop down list box to select the warehouse for which the inventory revaluation is to be performed. The system lists all the “Active” warehouses defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component, mapped to the current transaction (Inventory Revaluation). The system displays “Blank” by default. The selection of warehouse does not serve as a filter criteria to retrieve parts for the “Valuation Method” set as “CMAV” |
Part Type |
Use the drop down list box to select the part type. The system lists all the active part types defined in the ”Part Administration” business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Note: Ensure that a value is specified in the “Revaluation Period” field.
Click the “Analyse revaluation” pushbutton, to retrieve the details of the revaluated parts.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Balance Sheet Revaluation Details” tab to view the balance sheet details for the inventory
Select the “Stock Revaluation Details” tab to view the stock details for the inventory
Click the “Compute” pushbutton, to calculate the new stock value of the inventory.
Click the “Update” pushbutton, to store the revaluation details.
Note: Ensure that the “Get Details” pushbutton is clicked before clicking the “Update” pushbutton.
The system generates the revaluation # and the stock correction document for the affected stocks and the reversal journal voucher in “Authorized” status based on the option selected in the “Revaluation Type”.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The name of the user who last updated the inventory revaluation of the parts. |
Last Updated Date |
The date on which the inventory revaluation of the parts was last updated. |
