The system retrieves supplier part cost from the “Supplier” business component.

The system displays the following:

Total Stock Value

The total current value of the stock in the warehouse or location calculated by Quantity (Qty) * Unit Rate

Total Market Value

The total market value calculated by cumulative value of Qty * Market Rate

Note: Ensure that the supplier currency is the same as the base currency. If not, the system converts the supplier currency into the base currency by interacting with the “Exchange Rate” business component. The system considers the exchange rate for the supplier currency as on the end of the “Revaluation Period” and if the current date is later than on the “Revaluation Period<To Date>”.

Note: The system performs the following functions for the “Balance Sheet Revaluation Details” group box.

The currency conversion is Converted Price = Part Cost * Exchange Rate. For example, if the base currency is Rs., supplier currency is Dollars, exchange rate is 45, and part cost is 1 Dollar, then

Part Cost = Part Cost * Exchange Rate

Part Cost = 1*45 = 45

Converted Part Cost = 45 Rs.

The system considers the cost per value defined against the parts in the “Supplier” business component. If the cost per value is not equal to 1, the system calculates the part cost for each part against the supplier by Part Cost = Part Cost/ Cost Per. For example, if the part cost is 60 Euros and the cost per is 3, then the unit part cost for the part is 60/3 = 20 Euros.

Note: Ensure that the UOM conversion between the stock UOM and purchase UOM is specified for each part.

The system considers the conversion between stock UOM and the purchase UOM defined at the part level in the “Part Administration” business component or at the global level in the “UOM Administration” business component. The system calculates the part cost for each part against the supplier, if the stock UOM and the purchase UOM specified for the part is not the same by Part Cost = Part Cost/ Conversion between the stock UOM and the purchase UOM. For example, if the part cost is 20 Euros and the stock UOM is EA and the purchase UOM is BX and if the conversion between BX and EA as defined in the “UOM Administration” business component is 10, then the part cost for the part against the supplier is (20 /10) 2 Euros.

Note: The system does not consider parts with expense type “Capital”.

The system displays the following in the “Balance Sheet Revaluation Summary” group box:

Computed Value

The cumulative value of the total market value.

Revaluated Value

The cumulative value of the total market value after modifying the market rate. If the market rate is not modified, then the computed value will be the revaluated value on update.

Voucher #

The system generates the reversal journal voucher on clicking the “Update” pushbutton, which can be selected to view the reversal journal voucher.
