The “Existing Part #” and “New Serial #” combination is unique.
Example:
There exists Part # - Serial # in the following combinations

2) P1 - S2
The system ensures that the serial # of P1 is not changed from S1 to S2, because the combination P1 - S2 already exists.
Note: Ensure that the entered “Existing Part” and “Existing Serial #” combination does not exist for the Aircraft in the “Frozen” status in the “Aircraft” business component, for all the values in the “Change Type” drop-down list box.
Note: The system updates the “Change Status” as “Analyzed” and the “Last Analyzed Date And Time” with last date and time when a change document is analyzed, after fetching all the open records for the given Part # and Serial # combination in the "Open Transactions Impact" multiline.
Note: Correction Serial Change will undergo batch process to perform the required change. Batch process will retrieve the records which are in “Initiated” status and also the “Change Basis” as “Correction” and “Change Type” as “Serial Reference Change”.

Note: If the “Change Basis” as “Engg. Change – Work Execution” and for all the values of “Change Type”, the system updates open and master transactions. E.g. The system updates only the open transactions with reference document as component work order and validates the remaining open transactions.
Note: If the “Change Basis” as “Engg. Change – Direct” and for all the values of “Change Type” , the system updates master transaction.
Note: If the “Change Basis” drop-down list box is selected as "Correction" and the “Change Type” is "Part Reference Change" or "Part and Serial Reference Change”, the system retrieves the list of open transactions for the BPC for e.g. Hangar Maintenance – 1) Visit Package # in Draft, Fresh, Confirmed, Released and Partly Released statuses. If the Visit Package # exists in Cancelled or Closed condition then Part # and /or Serial # change (will not have any impact) will not be displayed. 2) Hangar work Order # exists in Fresh, Scheduled, In-Progress, Completed and Reversed statuses.
Line Maintenance – 1) Journey Log # exists in Fresh, Amended, Under Amendment (In summary Parameter Details tab page if there exists any parameter value for a Part # for the position code and if the given Existing Part # and Serial # combination is attached in that position code then the corresponding Journey Log # will be considered as open transaction else Journey Log # cannot be considered as open Transaction). 2) Technical Log # exists in Fresh and Fresh-Held If there exists any On-Wing Work Unit # for the Existing Part # and Serial # combination.

Note: The system retrieves the open transaction for the given existing Part # and Serial # combination.
E.g. For a Customer Order #, a Visit Package is released. For the Visit Package, a Hangar Work Order is released. Through component removal, a component is removed from the Aircraft. A component work order is created.
1. The first line will be displayed as follows:
a) Document Type - Component Work Order, b) Document # - Component Work Order #, c) Status - Status of the component work order, d) Description - Component Work Order Description e) Location - Work Center Description, f) Ref. Doc Type - Hangar Work Order, g) Ref.Doc # - Hangar Work Order #, h) Parent Document Type - For the component work order the parent document type is Work Scope, i) Parent Doc.# - Work Scope # and j) Customer order # - Customer order #

Updates the count of transactions and modify the change status as "Completed", after changing the Serial #.
If Change Basis is Correction & Engg. Change-Direct/ Engg. Change-Work Execution, upon confirmation of part # - Serial # change, the component maintenance programs inherit the part program of the new part. However, if any of the tasks in the maintenance program is not effective for the component, the schedule status of the task is set as Inactive.
Click the “Cancel Analysis/Change” pushbutton to cancel the Part # or Serial # change.
Note: For the given Part # and Serial # combination, if there exists any Change Doc. # with the Change status as “Initiated” or “Analyzed” or “Error”, on clicking the “Cancel Analysis/Change” pushbutton, the system save the details as follows:
